Anyone else a fan? I saw them when I was out in Vegas a few years ago. One of the few CD's I have where I listen to every song, don't just replay a few favorites.

I'm also a fan of the White Stripes and/or Raconteurs. Anyone? Anyone?

Killers are quite good.

As for White Stripes.... well... they get to sit at the same table as Lenny Kravitz in my music world :-)

That must've been a 6'5" joke, then.

So Stink,
Which is it:
a) you never liked Duran Duran and now you don't like The Killers cause they copy their sound - or
b) you do like Duran Duran and now you don't like The Killers cause they stole the sound ?

BTW,
Sam's Town sounds nothing like any Duran Duran and is a much better album than Hot Fuss.

Choice A. I don't straight loathe either band, but I find them each to have one or two great pop singles amid a sea of ostentatious filler.

That is definitely a matter of opinion and not fact. I find Hot Fuss to be a much more complete album from start to finish. Sam's Town disappointed me.

I'm gonna go on a very short limb here, and say that a vast majority of worthwhile music conversations containing the phrase "is better than" are opinions.

BTW.
That post has a very strong resemblance to some of TM's posts.

what about "is greater than"? like, 4 is greater than 3, like 4 > 3, so could it then be said that Hot Fuss > Sam's Town?

It's like you're dreamin' about Gorgonzola cheese when it's clearly Brie time, baby.
