Here's an obligatory list of albums in 2007 that I thoroughly enjoyed. In no particular order

LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver (contains my pick for song of the year, "All My Friends")
Clutch - From Beale Street to Oblivion (Bolivian)
Against Me! - New Wave
Queens of The Stone Age - Era Vulgaris
The Weakerthans - Reunion Tour
Wilco - Sky Blue Sky
The Methadones - This Won't Hurt...
The Field - From Here We Go To Sublime
Idlewild - Make Another World
Ween - La Cucaracha
Chuck Ragan - Feast or Famine
Sundowner - Four One Five Two
Ike Reilly Assasination - We Belong To The Staggering Evening
Minus The Bear - Planet of Ice
Aereogramme - My Heart Has A Wish That You Would Not Go
Isis - In The Absence of Truth

I'll be happy elaborate further or to see what I can do about providing listening material if anyone is curious about this records.

And now after looking at this list after I typed it, I realize I had a pretty light year for rap/hip-hop. Did I miss anything monumental?

percee p is great, did you catch him last week? i didn't go, and i forget where that show was, but yeah, man.

i forgot all about that thurston moore disc, too. i haven't heard it, i just forgot all about picking it up. need to check it out.

i'm also waiting on some records that could easily make my top list (non techno singles/12s/eps, i don't want to be that obnoxious), including the aluk todolo lp, incredible stuff if the few clips i've heard are to be believed.

I like it, but it's definitely not for everyone...not a typical SY release and not at all like Psychic Hearts. A lot more stripped down, acoustic stuff.

yeah, that's kinda why i want to hear it... i'm not much into the SY stuff past "washing machine," and i have a feeling that i'd like the sound of thurston moore alone compared to the full band's recent offerings.
