Post subject: | Wyclef Jean - Carnival II |
I have been a big fan of his for a long time and one of the biggest reasons that I have been a fan is because he has this wonderful habit of giving me my money's worth. Too many artists in music today are just out to make singles, Wyclef makes albums. Top to bottom, every track is solid and could be a single ALBUMS. I have all of his albums and while I do have a favorite and least favorite, he has yet to make an album that I didn't like. Carnival II is another awesome album and anyone who is a fan should definitely pick this one up. Favorite tracks: Fast Car - w/Paul Simon (yes, THAT Paul Simon. I was surprised too) Any Other Day - w/Norah Jones |

I'm also a huge Wyclef fan and like this album but don't love it. Maybe I need to listen to it a few more times but right now there's only 4 or 5 songs I like. Preacher's Son was much better overall but this is still better than most of the crap being released nowadays. |

I agree Preacher's Son was a better album, his best in my opinion. I've also only gotten through Carnival II once, but it's still more of a complete album than a collection of shit surrounding one solid song that is the obvious single. I like Carnival II very much and it is solid from top to bottom and any number of the songs on the album would make for a good single. That is why I enjoy his music so much. |
