wow...
I honestly had no idea. I always heard the "hits" growing up, but I had no clue of all the other stuff. Frankly, I never bothered to search it out and listen. I was more concerned about learning Metallica riffs and fearing Steve Vai runs than anything else.

A "friend" of mine is more of a music nerd than I am. She recently introduced me to some of the "b-sides" (if there even are any) and I'm having a bit of an "Oh....no wonder why so and so sounds like..."
All kinds of musical knowledge. All kinds of learnin'
I just happened to have a Beatles songbook (that I never looked at) and started diving into.
good times.
I'm really digging Blackbird.
really pretty chord changes and stuff.

You can have your cake and eat it too, Doug.

Enjoy.

And yes, I do have two of their full albums if you're interested.

well they're not a jam band so it only took Doug about 30 years to figure out the Beatles rock.
I wonder what he'll try out in another 30 year?

He'll figure out the Beach Boys did more than car and surfing tunes.

What? You wanted something from 80s?

all your life...you were only waiting for this moment to arise.

i think one of their most underappreciated albums is "revolver". "good day sunshine", "tomorrow never knows", "eleanor rigby", and "for no one" are outstanding.

and of course, a nod to beatallica's "for horseman".

i will not apologize for my ignorant thinking during the 80s and early 90s that everything non-metal was crap.
