I think it's pretty cool...and will certainly get 8-18 kids headbanging in the stands. Good promo for both of them.

Mike North was ranting about it Friday Morning.

for any of you who heard Northie, my thoughts are:
....Al may be anti-Bush et al., but he's not anit-sports or anti-money.
$$$

Yeah, I head Mike ranting about it

"Hey, shouldn't McDonough read about Jourgensen, he's been a drug addict, etc."

Yeah, Mike like you've never driven drunk or picked up hookers. You're clean as a whistle. It's great for the Hawks to have a tribute night to you, but someone else who really likes them and goes to the effort of writing a song is an asshole

I don't really have any feelings one way or the other about the song but North was really going out of his way to be an asshole

Like the instrumental parts, the "let's go blackhawks" chant. The refrain is OK, but the vocals... well they sound like an effin Rush record, which blows. Here's how you fix it. Bring Oz Jr to do the vocals!

I hate the obvious lyrics. If they wanted a great hockey anthem by a Chicago band, "Give It All" by Rise Against would have been far more appropriate, and way more energetic. And I've maintained that the chorus from Naked Raygun's "Soldier's Requiem" would be a perfect goal song.

It's like marilyn manson and rammstein vomited and shat all over gary glitter.

God-awful.

Thanks, Suckers. For some reason, the instant I heard the second verse of "Give It All", my mind immediately associated it with the Blackhawks.

Rock bottom's where we live, and still we dig these trenches,
to bury ourselves in them, backs breaking under tension

For far too long these voices, muffled by distances,
it's time to come to our senses, up from the dirt
