Round 1: Anthrax- Indians vs. Iron Maiden - Run To The Hills |

Run to the Hills - better songwriting, melody + vocals, performance overall. But I'm a guitar guy. Even the dumbest song with an opening riff like Indians will win it for me. Add 1 in the W column for Indians. Also, what are the rules in this thing? |

I didn't really think this one through. They were just two similar songs in era, genre, and subject matter, so I wondered who would win in a CAGE MATCH. I'm sure I'll think of more idiotic showdowns. |

I got to go with Bruce Dickinson led Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills. If you asked me Among the Living versus Run to the Hills - I'm going with Anthrax, but just not a big fan on Indians. |

Are you asking us to vote on which song is more "now"? |

No, just a very simple "Who wins between...", using whatever subjective and arbitrary criteria you choose. |

...is becoming an ironically popular goal song in the NHL (the chorus), as utilized at minimum by the Ducks and Flyers. |

i should note that it's definitely a tough call, too. "manthem" is pretty great, but it's an issue of bouncing souls having plenty of other good songs, while pennywise will always = "bro hymn" in my mind. |

Very good point, and this is the exact kind of rationale I was hoping for in this thread. And "Manthem" may not even be the best song on that album due to the presence of "True Believers". |

I'm sure it surprises no one that I have no clue what any of you are taking about. I am hopelessly unhip. |

whatever, i'll still pick "pork soda". Zack, there's a reason these two were pitted against one another. You'll have to just trust me. Have I ever led you astray? |
