Tasty acapella tune by the Bothy Band.

Bothy Band is definitely a more traditional flavored approach. If you like your Irish music rock and roll tinged, then the bands you mentioned, plus ones like Enter The Haggis, are more your style.

I'm a BIG FAN of Irish pipes. Here's one of the old master's Willie Clancy

Metal and Celtic folk are the only two forms of music I will not tolerate.

there is a lot of horrible Celtic music out there. particularly the modern new-agey stuff. women singing ballads. Barf. anything you might hear on a public radio station. They cater to simpletons.

you don't like early classical music either. what, exactly DO you like? Tracy Chapman?

I don't like early classical music? Yeah, anything pre-Baroque (Josquin Desprez, for example) is a little weird to my ears. Baroque is my least favorite of the big four eras, but that doesn't mean I dislike it, I just prefer Romantic, Modern, and Classical. I even like 21st century; I wish WFMT still aired Relevant Tones.

Much like Tom Thibodeau, I like a ton of stuff.
