These guys were great when I saw them in July at the Metro. I really wish Grohl would just go back to drumming. The Foo Fighters have really sucked for the last 3 albums or so.

I'm kind of torn on the album. About half of it is phenomenal, but the other half is meh.

Their live show is great though, these guys really feed off each other well. Im not going to get tix myself, I don't think anything would live up to the Metro show, so I would probably walk away disappointed.

Agreed, there's a few songs on that album that I don't like.

John Paul Jones in the only remaining member of Zeppelin that I have not seen live so that is reason enough for me to go.

it reminds me of 'songs for the deaf' so much that i listen much past the 5th song.
that's a valid reason.

agree with ya on the Metro Douchebag. every artist/band i've seen there never compares to any other show i've seen at other venues.
311, Korn, Billy Corgan, Cursive, Mastodon, etc...

I didn't get into QOTSA much, so I'll take your word for it.

Grohl's best attribute is his drumming by far.

He's a great drummer, but Foo Fighters is still one of my favorite bands ever. I like the fact that they're not predictable. "Stacked Actors" and "Big Me" sound so completely different.

Dave Grohl is my official mancrush.

By the way, I'm out. Too rich for my blood.

This would be a hell of a way to celebrate the birthday, but the commute+weekday=no go

It seems like everyone I've talked to just raves about this album. I finally heard it the other day and thought, "What's all the fuss about?"

Grohl is an awesome drummer though.

As it currently stands I'm flying solo for this, unless the new gal has the day off work.
