I'll leave these gems here. Please add on Big Love acoustic - Lindsey Buckingham - His guitar work on this is EPIC http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naAWX6OsHVI Rhiannon - Fleetwood Mac - I like this ALOT better than the studio version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tR_i0sKWKEA |

If you like Jane's Addiction there are a number of them on the Jane's Addiction live album (XXX). They also play a great version of Sympathy For the Devil on that one. Edit - sorry for the vagueness of the post but I have no access to youtube at work. Probably a good thing. |

Guided By Voices is another band- their records are noted for being lo-fi, but their live show really brought the rock big time, it was totally different |

Big Love is really incredible live with just Lindsey. I'm thinking you saw the same concert I did on cable. Not a huge Fleetwood fan but I do think Lindsey is really underrated on guitar, especially acoustic. Strange note: when Lindsey isn't playing the guitar, just singing, he has a really bad habit of waving his hand around in a way that makes him look...well, weird. |

Rock and Roll by Velvet Underground is covered on that album too. |

Pretty much the entire Alice in Chains Unplugged album. Every song was awesome live. Better than studio by leaps and bounds IMHO. Might be the best live album since Frampton. |

I spent a lot of time with Jar of Flies and the sequence...I'm sort of partial to it over the unplugged versions. |

I bought this before any other or their albums, and I just can't get into their other work, but I love every song on that album. Another one for me would be Pete Yorn's live from New Jersey CD, not many people have heard of him, but his live shows are just as good as his studio work, and some songs like "Long Way Down" are even better live... edit: Here is a link to some of the songs: http://www.lala.com/#album/504684633538595742 |

Cheap Trick's At Budokan is a great listen from start to finish and IMO better than a lot of the studio versions. |

I don't know about you, but Eric Clapton's 1979 live version of "Cocaine" was better than the studio version 2 years earlier he released on the "Slowhand" CD. |
