Am I the only person that wanted to edit Jim's description from "Pop N Stuff" to "Pop N Fresh"?

this actually has more groups I'd be interested in seeing than Pitchfork

Chemical Brothers: saw them before...yeah usually electronic acts aren't good live but they are not bad, it's a good show

Nas: would be excited about this but he's w/ Damain Marley and i haven't heard their album they did together which I assume is what most of their set would be

De La Soul: nothing needs to be said

Mayer Hawthorne: great album and would be interested in seeing him live

Flying Lotus: really like his stuff, would be interested seeing him pull it off live

of course plenty of crap too, but not bad

Their album is terrible. Not sure why Nas did it. I heard it last weekend and I was pissed.

yeah, that's a weird lineup, but i'd be down to go for many of the same reasons Bagels listed above.

some other nice surprises:

benga - i've got a friend who's been trying to bring him in at every turn (he was here just a year back) and i wouldn't be surprised if she had something to do with this - he's a solid (if unadventurous, compared to his peers) dubstep dj, not so great on the production tip though.
orchard lounge - smart bar residents, known for eclectic genre-bending dj sets
paul kalkbrenner - i have a few of his records (the best of the lot is http://www.discogs.com/Paul-Kalkbrenner ... ase/971501) decent stuff but definitely "of its time" - wonder why/how he got booked for this as he's one of only a few foreign acts.
