Its friday, its sunny, youre out of work, _______ is going well. Your significant other agreed to ____ your ____ until you ____ Youre in a great mood. What do you wanna listen to?

Inspired by recent favorite happy song
"Award Tour" by A Tribe Called Quest

Some of my other selections:

Zoo Station by U2 (Worst song on my favortie album ever, but it reminds me of the tour, so its good when im deliriously happy. Pretty much the only occasion I listen to it.)

Rock N Roll by Led Zepplin (IMO Quite simply the definition of a rock n roll song. So much engergy. Drums are ridiculous! Just pure Awesome. Though im sure my mult JORR will be along to explain why this isnt the best representation of Rock n Roll)

The Jump Off by Wu Tang Clan (my favorite all inclusive Wu song. Beat is aweome. By far their best upbeat song)

Dammit by Blink 182
. (Im sure some Blink fan is reading this and rolling his eyes thinking this song is mirsh. Whatever, it fuckin rocks)

Pick up the Pieces- Average White Band (If there's a more bad ass walking song, I dont know it. Its such an aweome blend of funk and rock. Perfect. The thing is you cant rock this before sundown. Its just not a day song )

Seven Nation Army byThe White Stripes
(See Blink review insert White Stripes)

Lets Get High by Snoop feat Kurupt
Love the Bassline. Kurupt destroys it on his verse. One of Dre's most memorable verses ever.
The intro is awesome
[all together]
All these n****z and all these hoes in here
Somebody here gon' fuck! (repeat 4X)

Columbia-By Oasis (pretty much the same description as Rock N Roll on a lesser scale. My favorite bigger than Jesus song)

Sister Havana by Urge Overkill (love the guitar riff and pace of this song)

"Radioactive"-The Firm

This is a great song, but I wouldn't exactly say it's for when you're happy. It's a very depressing song.

The lyrics are depressing but the melody isnt.

I could see it either way

Black Keys - Have Love, Will Travel (many people have covered it, so any version will do)

Eagles of Death Metal - (The entire Peace, Love, Death Metal album)

Creedence - Lookin' Out My Back Door

Smoking Popes - Off My Mind

Prince - Let's Go Crazy

Pretty much anything from the Flaming Lips catalog.

The melody is where I come from. I tend to ignore lyrics in many cases.

I have been listening to so much different stuff lately I can't honestly think of a
song that I play when happy. I will say though, that when I am in a good mood
the Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix album by Phoenix has me bopping around in my
cube a little bit. Let me tell you, it is a real sight to see.

R.E.M.- "Shiny Happy People"

I know, typical. Maybe this is more of a song to get me in a good mood.

I always forget about Summer Song.

Another instrumental for me would be Cliffs of Dover - Eric Johnson

I've been listening to those guys a ton lately - love 'em!

I guess I'll also agree with Bagels about Stevie Wonder in general, and:

Up From the Skies or Manic Depression - Jimi Hendrix
Dimension - Wolfmother
Too Many Puppies - Primus
'Zeppelin - Traveling Riverside Blues

Check out "Windstorm" by School Of Seven Bells.

This song can put me in a good mood when I'm in a shitty one, so it's even better when I'm happy.
