Stryper.

Great songs.
Great musicians, Tim Gaines not withstanding.
They've sold millions of records, but they could've been bigger.
Poison, Crue, White Lion, Warrant, etc can't hold a candle to Stryper.
I saw them at least 6 times in the 1980's. The clothes might be ghey, but
in this genre, name me a better band.
Their ballads sucked, for the most part, but Michael Sweet and Oz Fox are still a
dueling solo beast.

Nice call on Michael Sweet and Oz Fox. I always liked Reb Beach, Nuno Bettencourt, and Paul Gilbert.

Those first 3 were all great ones. Back in the day I listened to I Remember You by Skid Row over and over and over again. Loved that one.

Hell yeah! :D 8)
They just released an all covers album, called The Covering.

They absolutely nailed Deep Purple's Highway Star!

Home Sweet Home but would prefer Without You
Don't know what you've got til it's gone
I Remember You

Favorite Ballads every rose has its thorn & here I go again. Runners up love bites and nobody's fool.

Shook me all night long
Another thing coming

When KS was getting some I was just entering the world of making out and people going up my shirt. Have a fond awkward memory of I'll never let you go by steelheart. The awkwardness lasted into my twenties though.

Wow, I remember this being a big story on MTV 20+ years ago.
Thanks for the reminder!

Early Motley Crue....everything else I got sick of really quick.

I saw Skid Row at The Aragon with Soundgarden opening around 90/91. I think it was at that moment that there was a shift going on as I preferred Soundgarden on that night.

How does Keeping Score not include at least one Tesla song? Tragic.

PS- Those chicks in Stryper were hot.

After seeing the Sebastian Bach youtube, I ended up seeing one of the funniest walk offs ever (not funny that they're throwing rocks, but the dialogue)....poor Nickelback...Portugal likes their Metal harder and not commercial, ala Sepultura.
