Well deserved imo.

I had the Roots "How I Got Over" and Big Boi's "Sir Lucious Left Foot the Son of Chico Dusty" neck and neck as hip hop album of the year.
After about 3 weeks with Ye's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" I can say that this album just takes it to another level. Its crafted beautifully from the music, lyrics, church choir and so forth.
The last album to blow me away like this was Aquemini which imo is the last great hip hop album. I'm not sayin its better or even as good but damn its not far behind.

I know more people hate him than like him because of his excessive acts of douchebaggery but his talent can't be denied. I know I've said it here before and ill say it again...Kanye West is the best thing in hip hop. He's not afraid to experiment with his music and and for the most part he's hit the mark.

seriously, ask hex, there is no conspiracy to the push behind drake... he isn't a pretty boy who was told to go rap and handed lyrics and shoved into the limelight. oh no... he's a real motherfucker who always comes with it =D

as far as kanye goes, i have the corner 12". i love that beat. for some reason kanye seems to rap better than usual on that one, although there is this odd urge for me to go shopping at old navy when i hear the song.

i'd cop the through the wire 12" if i came across it for the instrumental. kanye is a dope producer. that's about all i have to say on his rap skills..

Kanye kills this album. I also enjoyed Lloyd Banks recent album. T.I's was ok at best, he went soft on alot of the tracks.

Yeah, I really liked Late Registration, but a lot of that had to do with Jon Brion's involvement, and then I got tired of his (KW's) diva act.
And I just kinda stopped paying attention to him, but this record is really good so far, "All Of The Lights" being an early favorite.

Am I the only one that finds the skit with Chris Rock to be really strange on his new album? It's an immediate "hit next song" for me when it comes on.
