Last year on my Facebook feed there was a blog post somewhere with youtubes of the tracks of Gimme Shelter separated out. Those old sounds have been taken down, but there's still a website that has all the tracks and you can add and drop them. Since Gimme Shelter is far and a way my favorite Rolling Stones I spent a lot of time listening to everything. It's all great, but the bass line is my favorite part and it's the first time I really heard the difference in the two voice parts in many places. Merry Clayton kills her part too.
