I knew when I saw that other post that you were gonna be pissed, KS.
Tesla's cool.
Maybe I'll cover some in acoustic. What would you recommend?

Very nice KS!

Tesla was a fantastic band. Never forget seeing the Firehouse/Tesla show at the World in 93-94??

I'll be along for the 90 days!

Are there 90 Tesla songs that one can feature?

I'm going to go ahead and assume that this will be like Kid Cairo's Hip Hop Song of the Day thread that was forgotten about after a week.

Post subject:  Re: The 90 Day Tesla Challenge

Plenty of talented musicians write and record shitty songs.
Tesla is but one example.
"Love Song" has made me want to puke for over 20 years.
I have always hated them.
And they're one of the fugliest bands ever.
Fuck 'em.
:P

I like it KS, I like it. Let me preface this by saying I loathe Love Song, and agree with Shirtless' observations. I love Tesla though. Picture young Dally in Crow's Nest (R.I.P) when he has to ask a clerk, "What the hell is this!" It was EZ Come EZ Go, from Tesla's debut album. I can remember listening to it in rotation with Appetite, and Puppets. Great band, high underrated. I blame that on the heavy rotation syrupy shit like Love Song, and a million knockoff metal bands with identical power ballads. Yuck!

Probably. He has some others. It's way better than any Tesla generic rock.

I don't think it is way better!

I kept waiting for the song to get better and it never did.

Tesla's best is a cover of a Five Man Electrical Band song. Their biggest "hit" is being maligned in this thread by even those who like them. David Werner rocks Pittsburgh!

The bigger question is why so much anger towards Tesla? Does it make you feel better to come shit on a Tesla thread where a bunch of guys are just reminiscing about an early 90s hairband?

I sure don't think it is a hardcore analysis of the most underated band of all time.

Jorr - What is this thread about? My intention was to share and inform about the greatness of Tesla. I hope some doubters will give them a try. I do so, because I'm almost positive that having given them a fair shot, you'll come away perhaps liking a few new songs to you, and possibly liking a band as well.

It's a trolling thread just like your Taylor Swift thread. Nobody in his right mind thinks that Tesla is the most underrated band and nobody over the age of 16 thinks Taylor Swift is interesting. These are the kind of threads that Panther is regularly eviscerated for starting. To your credit, you did refrain from using all caps in the titles. If you are really so deranged as to believe the ideas you have expressed therein, I apologize in advance and suggest you seek the help of a mental health professional.

I would never ignore you nor would I tell you what or what not to post. And I'm not shitting on Tesla for no reason. My viewpoint that they suck is no less valid than yours that they're great.

Lol. Nice outfits.

My friend told me today that Tesla's bass player was at The Port Of Kenosha (a bar by my house) the other day.
I guess there were like 3 other people in there in the afternoon.
The meathead bartender actually recognized him, and Brian Wheat went to his car and pulled out a Hofner poster, and he
signed it and I guess it's now on the wall.

Why was the bass player of Tesla in Kenosha?
God only knows.

Tesla blows.

Oh, it's all in good fun. :D
I don't mean any offense to the band, or it's fans.
And I certainly don't celebrate the studio fire.
That said, I honestly think they didn't get as big in the late 80's because
80% of the band were butt fucking ugly (Tommy being the exception), at a
time where it seemed like mostly girls were into that kind of music.
"Chicks"like the singer, and Jeff Keith looked like a dog's butthole.
