Another band that's better than Pearl Jam calls it quits. For what its worth I thought they broke up like 10 years ago.

Dont they still owe Sony some albums? or did their last few efforts yield so few sales that Sony just let them go?

If they could have just stuck it out for another decade or so their longevity would certainly have moved them up the list of greatest bands of all time.

So I think the lead got buried in this story. illini818871 seems to break a TON of stories around here but doesn't really make other posts. Who is he. kujoe mult? Dr. Ken? Real poster? SHARK's arch nemesis????

I had this thought a while ago, I was all set to make a Who is illini thread but he doesnt harm anything and he gets us the breaking stories quick.

Lets just keep it that way.

Only CD I have of theirs is "Dead Letter Office", a rarities and B-sides collection by R.E.M., released in 1987. The album is essentially a collection of many additional recordings R.E.M. made pre-Murmur to "Lifes Rich Pageant" that were outtakes or released as flip sides to their singles internationally. Many of the tracks are favorite cover versions indicating the band's disparate influences and musical tastes, including three Velvet Underground covers, and songs by Pylon, Aerosmith and Roger Miller.

I love the instrumental surf type jingle "White Tornado".

He is the best at what he does. No arguments here.

That's how I knew Bill Cosby wasn't really dead because illini would have had the scoop.

Yeah, I guess it should read:

Morris Day > Sugar Ray > Tesla > ALL OTHER AMERICAN BANDS

Well quite honestly, they'd said enough. They said too much.
