East, Andy Fairweather Low, and Greg Bissonette all toured as part of Eric Clapton's backing band from the late 90s thru the present. |

Agree on many of these...thought I'd throw a shoutout to Tom Scholz and Fran Sheehan of Boston. They had such a clean sound. Current fav is John Petrucci and John Myung of Dream Theater. |

Your last couple of threads made me wish I voted for you. Then I remembered you like the Packers & Ke$ha, so that negated all of that. |

Dunno who played what, Mudhoney's guitar/bass combo always sounds tight. Same for Eleventh Dream Day. |

Slash-McKagan immediately come to mind. Iommi-Butler, Perry-Hamilton, even Dimebag Darrell*-Rex Brown are all up there. * Still hard to believe he was shot and killed on stage. Can't imagine how traumatic it must have been for the audience to witness that. |

Lee and Lifeson or Sting and Summers are the obvious firsts to come to mind because the bass player was actually a front man too. But Townshend and Entwhistle to me were my Fav. And Eddie is so good, me at bass would be a good pair. And I dont play bass. |
