You come home and your room mate and the singer of your Norwegian Black Metal band decided to slit his wrists and when that was taking too long, shotgun his face off. Before calling the cops or anyone else you grab a disposable camera and take care of the album cover for the upcoming EP.

The Norwegians, they don't fuck around. Two years later the guy that took this picture was stabbed 23 times by a member of another Norwegian Death Metal band.

That was a rumor along with another one that he made necklaces out of skull fragments to give to his friends. They denied the brain stew part but confirmed the one about the necklace. Honestly, after reading about some of the things these Norwegian Black Metal guys do, the Eastside/Westside feud in the US could probably be passed off as a clever marketing campaign for vagisil.
