Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band will be playing at Wrigley Field on Sept. 7.

It’s part of the tour to promote his new album “Wrecking Ball.”

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. April 21 on Tickets.com or by phoning 800-THE-CUBS. Seats range from $45 to $83, and field tickets are $103 (limit 4).

His concert will be the second during the coming baseball season.

I think he picked the wrong stadium as a venue. White Sox fans would be far more appreciative of a man singing about speedballs.

If the, shall we say, tone of concerts at Wrigley hasn't been intimated loudly enough yet, I can only assume the next act will be a Dixieland Band.

Wrigley Field has become quite a concert venue in recent years. Springsteen & Pink Floyd's Roger Waters coming to town are proof of Wrigley's growing appeal among non-baseball fans.

SHARK there are plenty of non-baseball fans that currently fill it's seats and bleachers during actual games.

That's not what I meant. Since 2005, I've seen more and more marquee names in concert at Wrigley Field during the summertime instead of what used to be called the World Music Theatre or whatever they're calling that outdoor venue now in Tinley Park.

He's getting rave reviews for "Wrecking Ball" among music critics.

I've listened to it....or as much as I could stomach. KEEP IT.

He has material here and there that is without a doubt indicative of talent, but I greatly dislike him. Nearly everyone I know who is a fan of his is pretty damn obnoxious about it (and fully aware of it)- even worse than U2 and Bono fans. Every word he sings and every note he plays is an obscene cliche.
