It's perfect that he'll be playing the most over rated stadium in the history of sports.

I think he picked the wrong stadium as a venue. White Sox fans would be far more appreciative of a man singing about speedballs.

So far, we've got The Police, Dave Matthews, Paul McCartney, and now Bruce Springsteen.

If the, shall we say, tone of concerts at Wrigley hasn't been intimated loudly enough yet, I can only assume the next act will be a Dixieland Band.

That would be too loud for Bigfan. Those kind of loud acts belong in the Wild Hare.

That should be a tough ticket. I bet it not only sells out September 7th, but I've got to think a second show won't be far behind.

Note that Springsteen is playing the year that the, um, Clemons Dillemma has neatly resolved itself...

Makes me hope that they have Lenny Kravitz planned in the next couple years.

Wrigley Field has become quite a concert venue in recent years. Springsteen & Pink Floyd's Roger Waters coming to town are proof of Wrigley's growing appeal among non-baseball fans.

SHARK there are plenty of non-baseball fans that currently fill it's seats and bleachers during actual games.

I think the Cubs are proof of Wrigley's growing appeal among non-baseball fans.

That's not what I meant. Since 2005, I've seen more and more marquee names in concert at Wrigley Field during the summertime instead of what used to be called the World Music Theatre or whatever they're calling that outdoor venue now in Tinley Park.

He has material here and there that is without a doubt indicative of talent, but I greatly dislike him. Nearly everyone I know who is a fan of his is pretty damn obnoxious about it (and fully aware of it)- even worse than U2 and Bono fans. Every word he sings and every note he plays is an obscene cliche.

That's because the World is a terrible venue. I have been to many outdoor sheds around the country, and this is BY FAR, the worst.
