I'll be down the street. If they play an absolutely ass-kicking rendition of "Faded," don't tell me.

I'll have to have somebody telling what the songs are. I was never a big Whigs guy, but got last minute tix to the Lolla afterparty show and said why not. The tightest live performance I have ever seen. So hell yeah I'm going back again.

If you don't have the albums yet, I highly recommend...all of them. Greg has a pretty good thing going as the Twilight Singers, too, though they seldom reach the heights achieved on Gentlemen, Black Love, or 1965. I never got into the Gutter Twins side project, though.

Give me a good one for the car driving around this afternoon. I'm on my Vuze.... I mean BUYING MUSIC NOT ILLEGALLY DOWNLOADING IT.... right now. My buddy who i'm going with who's a huge Whigs guy says start with Geltleman and work my way out.

I can't argue with that. I think Black Love is the most perfect wire-to-wire album they ever did, though there are more outstanding individual songs on Gentlemen ("Debonair," "My Curse," "What Jail Is Like") and 1965 ("66," "Crazy"). If you want something to wash over you, or more soul influences, go with Black Love. If you want the hits, or more rock, go with Gentlemen.

Congregation is not without its charms but it's an obvious step down from the big three.

I'm gonna go through the whole collection. Just haven't remembered to DL them til today. Gonna be out a little this afternoon so I'll get at least one album in, but I'm not gonna be "that guy" and listen on the way to the show. That's just wrong.
