I'd avoid the Zune now as there are a ton of reports of bugginess, which is typical of a 1.0 version of any Microsoft product. It's an okay value but the 30GB iPod is way better at this point and much easier to use with better software and user interface. Here's a link of Engadget's experience installing it. Not looking good. http://www.engadget.com/2006/11/13/inst ... ne-sucked/

I've been an iPod guy (60 GB photo, before that, 40GB 3G), and I have been very happy with the overall product, but I've always used a Winamp plugin rather than iTunes, so I'm really only basing that review on the hardware itself. The Zune's wireless capabilities intrigue me, as well as the built in radio, but it's not enough to spend more money on an mp3 player over.

Coach,
The best part of Zune will be the pricing pressure on Apple.
I just saw the 30G video Ipod for $238 at Sams - first time I've seen it under $249.99.

Watch the price dip after x-mas.

BTW,
I love my 30G video.
No bugs, easy to install, and tons of accesories available everywhere.

And don't forget all the kick ass free video podcasts available all over the place. Ask a Ninja is the best. The wireless capabilities on the Zune are shit for now. The only thing it's good for is sharing a song with another Zune user and it's supposed to be very slow. Plus they can only play the song 3 times or 3 days before it locks out.
