Older stuff like The Beatles, Zeppelin, Billy Joel, STP, 311 ...newer stuff like Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire, The Black Keys, The New Pornographers, Muse, The Strokes, Silversun Pickups, Jack's Mannequin....they are certainly better than what is considered mainstream and popular these days.

And find me a place where "most" people disagree with that.

With the more eclectic stuff I listen to...like mewithoutYou, glassjaw, La Dispute, Trophy Scars, Minus The Bear, Emarosa, The Zutons....I could see how people wouldn't like it. It doesn't make it bad though.

the gods of rap.... music... media... whatever. whoever's in charge of that damn thrift song being played every 15-30 minutes between all of the pop stations in chicago. at first it was alright, but when you keep on earing it incessantly wherever you go it's like JESUS CHRIST MAKE IT STOP ALREADY. i think this song might have gotten in the ballpark of how hard "hey ya" was pushed back in the early-mid 00s, tho i'm not making any guarantees on that.
