yeah i always find where the artists rank on these festival lineups interesting for some reason

and there's a bunch of garbage there for sure, but plenty of solid acts nonetheless for a pretty cheap price. i'm definitely considering it

I noticed all the big question marks at the top. Any rumors as to who the real headliner is? For the money
it seems like it could be a nice little festival.

i dont know, think of some popular, generic pop-punk bands like Blink 182, it's going to be somebody like that

No judge but would enjoy seeing Yellow Card, Say Anything, Saves the Day, Against Me!, Taking Back Sunday, AFI, Violent Femmes and Blink

In the far bottom right corner, it says "No D'Bags Allowed". Is that a band name, or a prerequisite for entry into the fest.
If it's the latter, you'd have to wipe more than half of these tools off the line-up, starting with "Sublime with Rome".

not sure which is worse, but i think it's actually the name of a band
and yeah its definitely ironic, as i'm going to take a wild guess that the Dbag ratio at this fest is going to be significantly higher than Pitchfork, Lollpalooza, North Coast etc.

As you move down the list some that looks like a solid lineup. Blink 182 is awful live because they aren't very good musicians to begin with. You can keep Rancid and Fall out Bags and Rome.

Motorhead and public enemy would be cool to see.

The bands I want to see: Brand New, Screeching Weasel, Yellowcard (saw them last november and they were excellent), Pennywise, The Broadways, Against Me, Gwar, Of course the amazing and awesome Lawrence Arms, Saves the Day, Bayside,

Pennywise and Public Enemy have to hook up and collaborate on something.

I did not go last year and regretted it afterwards. There are for sure some bands on there who would not be playing together but for a paycheck, and will be terrible. Depending how it the schedules shake out, I suppose. I'm sure all those ska bands are going to be lumped together on the same night, which is a shame for Toots and the Maytals. Bob Mould is great live. Peter Hook is still really good live. Rancid could potentially be great.

White Mystery is the best band on that bill. Most of the rest of it is a nostalgia tour, the Gen-X version of Grand Funk Railroad and Wishbone Ash playing at Frontier Days.

yeah... i was thinking in a way it's kind of sad
not too many of those bands would be high up on the bill at a festival like Lollapalooza, Coachella, Pitchfork, etc.

i think for a lot of them that are in the midst of "reunions", the cool/wow factor has long since worn off
Dinosaur Jr has been back for awhile now, made like 3 albums since they reunited and while I like them a lot I really have no need to see them again
Guided By Voices is one of my favorite bands, but they've also made like 3 albums now since their reunion and really only 1 of them was any good
Mission of Burma has been reunited for awhile now; they're solid live but again, no real wow factor there
Peter Hook playing Joy Division songs is just sad and depressing

then you have really strange things thrown in like Best Coast- how in the hell do they fit in here?

I have seen Rancid put on some amazing, furiously intense live shows. When they feel like performing, they are very, very good.
