It was just ridiculously lame.

If her aim is to be "edgy" and to be looked at as a mature artists...well, she failed on both counts.

I guess I'm just surprised at the number of parents who are "shaming" Miley for acting like a fool on stage. Last time I checked she was a grown adult who can make a fool out of herself to her heart's content.

Last time I checked the adults are grown adults who can judge a person who is embarrassing herself especially if she is trying to sell product to them and their children.

It was just sad. I couldn't help but watch it and think that the third best female on The Voice could do Miley Cyrus songs better than she does. Miley is lucky that she was chosen to get catchy songs gifted to her.

THe VMA's celebrate fair-to-poor, common denominator Pop music for a fairly broad demographic. Pop music, Fair-to-poor Pop music in particular, nearly always benefits from the addition of unnecessary weirdness.

Also,her song was bleeped because she refers to being high on some street drug. (Mollies,I think.) Why do young kids today have to see or hear this shit? I'm talking about 6-11 year olds who have internet access. I don't think it changes a young mind,but why do young minds have to tackle mature subject matter like this? Let's face it,because of access to everything,children can't be children anymore. It's sad.

Sorry, by the way; I just laugh uncontrollably at the thought of Blarney Island and then I have to type my laughter. I remember having to help set up a WXLC show there featuring Blessid Union of Souls. I said "hey what's up" to the lead singer. He said "hey man" back. What a fucking place, though. The whole time I was just like "why is this a thing that exists?"

I took the shuttle boat over with a girl who was wearing a Red Wings sweater but wasn't wearing underwear. The moments you remember.
