Gets it almost right
http://www.rollingstone.com/movies/lists/the-25-greatest-soundtracks-of-all-time-20130829/wild-style-1983-19691231

I would have put Singles Higher as it defined a moment in time.

Now as it kind of is/is not a Soundtrack I would have included as honorable mention A Kind Of Magic by Queen,it was the soundtrack to Highlander.
Almost forgot, how The Commitments is not on there shows the stupidity of the people at The Rolling Stone.

I thought Dazed and Confused had a pretty decent soundtrack.

Easy Rider should have been higher on the list.

Purple Rain should have been #1.

If they wanted classic rock, they could have taken out any one of the THREE Beatles records on there and put in Forest Gump

No Thomas Newman or Hans Zimmer is a fucking travesty.

I didn't open the link but if its Top 25 and Forrest Gump isn't on the list, it's a complete joke of a list. That's like naming the 25 greatest guitarists and leaving Page off the list.

I was going to say Gump as well but the music is mostly there not integral to the story.
Hell by what I just said Dirty Dancing should be there
