Saw her SNL performance and guess I didn't really get it. She has talent but didn't really dig the songs she played. Pretty sure Spanky is currently president of her fan club. |

Agree with all of this - and if she's not dating Brownstein, they are awfully good friends. The album is great. I get the Byrne comparison (probably because they worked together), but she's more like female Prince in a lot of ways. Absolutely would. She's cute in person. Really, really skinny though. |

I don't have Marry Me yet, but yes, Actor and Strange Mercy are worth getting, as is Love This Giant with David Byrne. She's assumed more of his sound since working with him. There's some Prince in there, too. "Digital Witness" is basically a Prince song. I'd wager that if you didn't get Bjork or PJ Harvey, you probably won't get St. Vincent, either. |
