I listened to 4 on that list.

Spanky -- They have St Vincent at #61. Even I would say that is way too low 8)

Of course it's too low for my future wife's best album.

Between reading Pitchfork and listening to The Current you can get about 90% of them. It's not that hard. WKQX/XRT can probably get you 75%.

APHEX MOTHERFUCKING TWIN REPRESENTING AT #35!!!!!!!!!!!

honestly i was reading that list thinking "holy shit, i've never heard of even one of these bands" but then i saw aphex twin and well, uh, suffice to say i've heard a little bit about richard david james made in ireland raised in cornwall.

still, it's just kind of weird to see the new LP syro get all of the acclaim that the 5.5-from-pitchfork LP drukQs should of gotten. i think it's people just kind of giving a career referendum on aphex twin and basically saying "it's cool that he's back! 8/10!" when the album is just kind of.... meh. tuss v2.0 aka SUPERTUSS when i really really REALLY wanted to hear an album full of stuff that expanded on the ideas of tracks like this obscure/ish little gem from ~7 years ago or whatever.

btw, that #99 entry of "Shit - Feeding Time" sounds like the type of band i can picture ike enjoying based on the band/album names alone =D

That was not a classic album! It was just pretty good, which for modern U2, is really good.

U2 and Wu Tang are the passed. I enjoy their albums and it reminds me why I loved them to begin with but they arent breaking any new ground or anything.

ATYCLB was a classic. You missed on that one somehow. Which is weird for a Joshua Tree fella like yourself

I'll take a listen to the U2 today. I have never been a fan. I was commenting on the list in general.
When you talk about whiny douches my immediate thought goes to a U2 front man who can't steer
a bicycle.

Yeah, he's so whiny about War and disease wiping out tens of thousands of people. He should chill on that unimportant stuff

Whatever, Koko

whiney douches actually referred to the people acting like deleting the album off their iphone was a big deal.

Just listened to the new U2. Unspectacular. Sounded like all the other U2 stuff. It wasn't bad but
wasn't album of the year in my opinion. The War On Drugs album was way beter than that for
example. I don't know, I should just give up. I admit I am not a big fan of "popular" music.
I don't think I have a better ear than the masses but I will say that the steaming masses usually
run towards a lot of hot garbage with a catchy beat and hook but not an ounce of substance.

Ok, point taken. I don't think he is a bad guy necessarily. He could just step off the 2 or 3 soap boxes he has
stacked up occasionally and let someone else try to save the world.

I didn't turn it off. I just didn't find any of the songs reaching out and grabbing me. They definitely have
some of that stuff in their catalog, just didn't find it here. It was just ok to me. Decent.
