So I'm no expert and I am watching the Song Remains the Same for the 40th time (albeit drunk). But has there ever been a more evocative guitarist? With a violin bow?

You shove a juvenile shark up a two-guard's ass and you deserve a place in infamy...

I'll take Nigel.

I'm going to get roasted for this, but I'm not a fan of Jimmy Page Lead Guitarist. I'm a huge fun of Jimmy Page the songwriter and producer, but always thought of him as a sloppy lead guitarist.

(ducks head and runs for cover)

That would be an interesting list.

Eric Clapton
Slash

Agreed on Clapton. Disagree on Slash. I like him a lot and find his skills and style underrated. Sadly, he cannot seem to align himself with a stable lineup and frontman for continued success. I liked some of the VR stuff, but I would not have chosen Weiland.

Others on my overrated list:
Zakk Wylde
Dimebag

Underrated:
Alex Lifeson
Steve Lukather

 Either way these lists are so subjective and never are solved just like top QB's or whatever of all time.

Fuck Eric Clapton. He should be sentenced to death for rewriting Layla as something my great grandparents might have sung to grandpa as they were putting him to bed.

I can't think of one Lifeson riff. I can think of about 20 for Page or Richards.

Working Man, Freewill, The Spirit of Radio, Limelight, just to name a few.

the Limelight one is pretty cool.

But Alex Lifeson has no charms to soothe the restless dreams of youth.

Neil Peart is the reason I took up the drums many years ago, but Lifeson continues to amaze me. Such a nuanced style.

This. He tends to use appragiated rhythm and not over kill a solo. Just damn good.

Stop defining people by their worst moments, Bagels. Hitler was a hell of a painter and I've read some of your basketball thoughts.
