We have Kanye, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift's freakish dance moves.

It's been pretty amazing, except for the yearly "Let's celebrate something about the Beatles!" thing.

This has been absolutely horrible so far. Exception being Annie Lennox.

Kanye was embarrassingly bad. Nice auto-tune.

I liked ELO...but that's because I like ELO. The rest of this has been varying degrees of flaming dumpster fires.

And I don't get Kanye.

AC/DC was cool to start the show.
Looks like Chris Slade is back behind the kit, sad to see Malcolm not playing.
Kanye fucking blows when he 'tries' to sing.
I was yelling at the screen, "Be angry and rap! Don't sing".
He's overrated enough as it is.
And did I see john Mayer playing a pink cock rock Jackson guitar with Ed Sheeran?
I guess he could make any guitar sound good, he's a great player.

Mayer is everywhere. He was playing with Bob Weir earlier this week on jimmyfallonpasta's show.

That was my first Eric Church experience.
He fits right in with the rest of this show. :puker:

So Paul McCartney is basically a backup singer now?

Looks like I'm right!

Except he wasn't singing.

RPB needs to put down the long john and pizza puff and get his ass in here.

I get the feeling that Beck didn't think he had a shot there.

And the only thing that could have rescued that show was if Prince walked out with a guitar.

Nobody thought Beck had a shot.

McCartney opened and closed his mouth. He didn't sing.

He was saying something into the third microphone that was there.

He also sings on the song they recorded though never without someone else.

Charlie Haden had some talented daughters, too.

You just blew my mind.

I listened to some Butter 08 this weekend and like it very much. This and Courtney Barnett were solid recs. Keep it up.

It's just not the Grammy's if everyone isnt pissed at Kanye the next day.

I didnt see any of it. How was Ed Sheeran?

When did we start giving a fuck about The Grammys? Like 2000 or so? When MTV stopped mattering?

Because when the MTV awards were big the Grammys were a complete afterthought for me.

Its just pop music. But now we value that sort of thing more.

I think it fills a void when pretty much nothing else is happening but cold weather.

I dont know what that means. He's no different than he's ever been.

He's a star. He does dumb stuff that the public talks about a lot (nothing new for famous musicians). His next album will be another classic. Good enough for me.

I think its the MTV thing. Can you remember any Grammy stuff from the 90s?

Outside of ODB's appearance which felt like an MTV type thing itself and the TLC speech, I really cant.

I think when the Brittany Spears/ Backstreet Boys takeover of music happened we shifted to the Grammys

It used to seem kind of cool and edgy. It is just sad now. He went on E! afterwards and basically did a 3 minute love letter to Beyonce. If I'm Jay-Z, I'm embarrassed that a supposed friend is openly in love with my wife.

He makes good music even though his last album was overrated but he is still pretty much an embarrassment. Michael Jackson made good music for decades too.
