Although I enjoyed last year's edition (excluding lack of cell service) I'm not going this year. There are a few bands I'd like to check out though. |

i have a buddy who decided to go all out with his wife this year and buy like 2 sets of tickets and VIP tickets for this thing so they could wait til closer to the show and sell them for enough profit to at least go for free. and uhhh now i think they're going to have a harder time doing that cuz i guess this shit is at kedzie and roosevelt now? scenic! be sure to support the local economy while you're around in fact i used to know a place right over there where you could buy lameass wickey sticks right there on roosevelt! scenic! and if the shit goes down hey you're right by the hotel 26th-n-california so if you can kill a good 24-40 hours somewhere you'll be right in the neighborhood to bail 'em out if they get sent for what i like to call a hitdemeanor (felly)! CONVENIENT! have they announced the ???MYSTERY ROCK HEADLINER??? yet? |

Lots there to like, but I'm too old and cranky for festivals. Gotta say that there are at least a dozen acts I'd love to see, but... |

Pretty eclectic lineup. I won't attend but will be interested to hear how it is from others. That is a lot of bands. |

doug - evergreen park wrote: HUM!?!?!?! holy shit... Although HUM is one of my favorite bands ever, I guess I can't get that excited about them playing an outdoor fest in the middle of the afternoon, especially when they are still one of those bands that play once in awhile, but haven't put out any new music in 17 years. At least FAILURE have an 18 song brand new album coming out on June 30th. The Heart Is A Monster!!!!!! (but they too will probably be on in the middle of the afternoon, too.) |

Merle Haggard is still living? He had a pretty good slide guitar player at one time who is an absolute space cadet. |

Great location. Probably safer than Humboldt Park--Lagunitas and the best restaurant in Chicago are both right there by Douglas Park. Mostly medical students and other staff from the med center live around the park, especially the East side going toward Western. Tho all the movie/tv soundstages and shit take up a lot of the space. Humboldt Park was a clusterfuck to get to last year. Douglas Park has much easier freeway and surface street access. Plus there's a Metra stop a block from the park for the suburban living dead and it's an easy walk to the Homan stop on the Blue Line--with a huge pig pen/court house right there by that el stop. Too bad about the lineup. |

Put out something new for the kids! |
