ROH has blocked 3 of their contracted stars from going to the E this week per pw torch. The briscos are the tag team and one single wrestler yet to be named.



I see this as a bad move as roh isn't even on a tna base yet as of avalabilty and this could hurt other talent from joining ROH In the future.....

PWTorch has learned through multiple sources that Adam Cole (formerly of the Future Shock tag team) has been blocked from signing with WWE by ROH. As reported earlier today, Jay & Mark Briscoe have also been blocked from signing with WWE due to contracts signed with and enforced by ROH

ROH News: WWE showed interest in Veteran ROH tag team UPDATED (w/Radican's Analysis)

Veteran ROH tag team wrestlers Jay and Mark Briscoe were not blocked from signing with WWE as originally reported earlier. Instead, WWE showed interest in The Briscoes, but found out they were bound by their ROH contracts.

The report seems to go against what ROH COO Joe Koff said in a recent interview insisting that ROH would not get in the way of a talent moving to a "bigger stage," while comparing ROH to a minor league baseball team that cultivates talent.

"To some people, ROH is the first stop. I'd like to believe our guys are content to wrestle with the ROH brand, strategy, and work, but I wouldn't want to stop them if WWE came calling. That is the pinnacle. This is no different than working AAA ball and the Big Show (Major League Baseball) calls them," Koff said in January.

The news on the Briscoes was confirmed in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The Briscoes are a well-established act in ROH and deserve the chance to go to the next level if a serious opportunity comes their way.

According to one source, at least one other wrestler was blocked from pursuing an opportunity with WWE in recent months. There's also been rumors circulating that there's a lot of discontent in the ROH locker room with wrestlers frustrated with ROH booker Jim Cornette, along with a variety of other issues having to do with ROH contracts and their limitations when it comes to getting regular work on the independent scene. But, one source regularly working in ROH has told PWTorch that those rumors are unfounded.

The Briscoes are said to be under a long-term ROH contract, so it will be interesting to see if the company can grow with them using them as one of their showcase attractions.
