Backstage Update on the Michael Hayes Suspension
By Drop In
Oct 9, 2013 - 7:39:14 PM

Michael Hayes has been suspended indefinitely for offering Rosa Mendes alcohol soon after her rehab stint. There's no word if it was a mini-bottle of Jack Daniels from his fanny pack while she was already in the proximity. The suspension was said to have been from Vince himself, and Rosa was in the proximity of where Vince's fanny pack would have been in the early-90's. More as we have it. #Freebirds #JackDaniels #RosaMendes #MarkMarkerson #FannyPack

With whole "whats good for business" angle they are building, how is super cena going to fit into it? Are they just going to scrap it so he can get the belt and do his typical crap or will they actually use this to turn him heel and join HHH's crew. You could have him do his typical shit for a while and then at Survivor Series have him cost Bryan the title. You could dress him up like the shield awfully easily from there on out.

Backstage Updates on Goldberg Returning to WWE and a Goldust vs. Cody Rhodes Program
By Marc Middleton
Oct 10, 2013 - 9:13:00 AM

- There is at least talk within WWE of doing a Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust feud at some point over the next six months. The talk is that if they go through with the program, Goldust would be the heel and it would be done in early 2014.

- A few people in WWE creative have been thinking of angles for Bill Goldberg and Ryback, in case something gets worked out for WrestleMania XXX. It's not a done deal but it is something being talked about. There is a chance of Goldberg vs. Ryback happening because both sides have not closed the door on a WWE return :drunken: :bom:

New Details on Road Dogg's Backstage Role with WWE, More on Michael "PS" Hayes' Status
By Marc Middleton
Oct 10, 2013 - 9:05:34 AM

- Brian "Road Dogg" James has been gaining more influence within WWE as of late. Part of the reason why is because Michael "PS" Hayes was sent home several weeks back.

We noted at first that Hayes was given time off to deal with personal issues. Last night, word came out that Hayes may have been suspended indefinitely for offering alcoholic beverages to Rosa Mendes just days after she returned to work after a stint in rehab.

Hayes had been working with Triple H on booking live events, among other things. James is now filling in on that position and it was described as James being on the rise because Hayes gave him an opening. Besides doing TV events and live events, James is also working in the WWE offices quite a bit. Most of the wrestlers are happy with James' presence in creative meetings since he's been around the business so much longer than most of the decision makers, plus he talks the language of the wrestlers

For what it's worth, people within WWE believe that Hulk Hogan is staying with TNA. At the same time, there are people in WWE would like to have him for WrestleMania XXX but the question is do they want him bad enough to out-bid TNA.

It was noted by a WWE source that if they put either Randy Savage or The Ultimate Warrior in the Hall of Fame next year, Hogan could do their induction speech, plus some kind of angle with a mid-level heel on the actual pay-per-view.

With The Rock and Steve Austin very questionable for WrestleMania XXX, Hogan could be the person to deliver big numbers for WWE. Last year's WrestleMania numbers were disappointing and there's a feeling that The Rock appearing for the fourth straight year isn't going to pop the numbers this time around. Unless there is a major outside attraction, there's also a feeling that the only ting that will get WrestleMania back to its previous numbers is an announced retirement and final match for The Undertaker, something big with Hogan or something big with Austin.

- Many people assumed that WWE bringing back Shawn Michaels and John Cena for Hell In a Cell was their response to the negative reactions to the Battleground pay-per-view on Sunday. That isn't the case as Michaels has been scheduled to get involved in the Daniel Bryan storyline for several weeks and they were talking about Cena returning last week.

- We noted before that the only person WWE signed from their most recent training camp was 25 year old Dylan Miley, who is a bodybuilder type with a 37 inch vertical leap. While some people from the camp have been told in the past few days that they will be signed, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards had not heard anything from WWE as of October 8th. Both Edwards and Richards have people within WWE who want them signed. Sean Burke, Tony Delfonzo and Todd Hanson were also at the camp with Miley. They got e-mails on October 7th and were told to stay in touch but WWE was not going to sign them right now.

Goldust and Cody Rhodes beat the Wyatt Family in the main event of Smackdown on Friday. First loss for the family since their debut. This makes no sense for me. Doesn't really help anyone. The only thing I can think is they are going to keep this tag team of the Rhodes going and the Wyatt's get their first real feud. Every wants the freaks to join the Wyatts (such as Kane, reading some Goldust hope). How much better would it be if Cody was the one the family grabs, brainwashes and they have Goldust as the face against them? I don't know if Goldust has been this over ever. Just a thought.

Goldust has been this over. But it's still questionable how he's this over. It's like RVD. I knew he'd get a pop for a month. But the crowd was crazy for him. I think this is leading to the Bret/Owen angle prior to WM 10. "I kicked your leg out from under your other leg Bret!"

You have the built in Dusty angle. He was around for one kid, not so much for young Dustin. I just hope they use it to make Cody a massive heel. He sucks as a good guy. He has Cutler face.

I'm for that too, but that was a waste of the first Wyatt family loss. Not sure what we accomplished there.

Whatever they did on Monday night was terrible as well. They did the entrance, chased Miz backstage and that was it.

All he has to do is sit in the rocking chair though.

That's true.

Especially if they bring Kane back as a disciple.

Interesting comments from the unemployed JR...

Crunch time for WWE as it relates to producing a compelling Monday Night Raw that sells the HIAC PPV which will be the 2nd, I think, PPV of the billing cycle for the company.

With the overall lack of main event depth in WWE these days, now would be the perfect time to get someone on a roll...attempt to get them hot and see if the individual can connect with the audience. One can always audible out of it but this matter can't be determined in a few weeks no matter how sage like some feel that they may be in determining such.

It's a process that is largely determined by the live audience's reaction over time.

All sports, or entertainment, fans want to support the 'stars' and 'stars,' IE heroes, and all have similar traits. They win more than they lose, they somehow eventually overcome when the odds are the greatest against them and they never quit. All these traits endears them to the audience. Fans can identify with winning. Loses become significant moments and not every other week occurrences.

50/50 booking helps NO one.

Those trying to re-invent the "booking" wheel and who refuse or simply ignore basic psychology and human emotions are foolish or naive or...gasp... egomaniacal.

Box office receipts and PPV numbers should convince any one who professes that the fine line between good and evil need not exist.

- WWE may have to push the planned match between The Miz and Bray Wyatt for Hell In a Cell to the Survivor Series pay-per-view because Wyatt is not cleared to wrestle yet. Wyatt would torment and haunt The Miz as a way to build to the match until he is cleared to compet

The dark main event after last night's RAW in St. Louis saw Daniel Bryan defeat Randy Orton with a running knee. Bryan cut a promo after the match but Orton laid him out with a RKO to end the show.

- Original plans for the WWE Tag Team Titles had Cody Rhodes and Goldust winning them at the Hell In a Cell pay-per-view but Vince McMahon made the decision on Monday afternoon to do the title change on RAW. The Usos vs. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns vs. Cody and Goldust is currently planned for Hell In a Cell.

WWE taped the following matches last night in St. Louis to air on this week's Superstars:

* Damien Sandow vs. Kofi Kingston....better than matches on RAW

* Dolph Ziggler vs. Big E Langston...better than matches on RAW

- There are reports that WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair recently finished up a stint in rehab, which is why he's back to taking bookings now. The story goes that Flair has been telling people he was resting up in Florida with his daughter but that's not the case as he was in rehab. Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com reports that WWE wanted Flair to go to rehab, he told his friends he didn't go but that doesn't mean he didn't.

WWE mentioning NXT star Xavier Woods in the Big Show storyline is because they're looking to bring him to the main roster soon. He's been recovering from a minor injury but WWE officials have been high on him for a while now. Woods tweeted after Michael Cole mentioned his Twitter petition to bring back Big Show on last night's RAW:

"Professor Xavier is a smart man & @MichaelCole knows that. Let's #BringBigShowBack Sign up!!!"

Before RAW, WWE had the petition linked on their website but after Cole mentioned it, the article was removed with the idea that Triple H had banned the petition from WWE.com. No word yet on when they plan on bringing Xavier to the main roster.

Couple things, read this week that a couple they pushed last year during the summer is now a couple, CM Punk and AJ.

I was just wondering, do you think with Shawn Michaels being the refree this Sunday, it somehow leads to a Triple H-HBK match at Mania. I have heard this is always a possibility, and right now with the way it's going, I don't know what there big plan is.

There was talk Vince was the reason Big Show got on tv early in Raw too.

Do they go with a Vince vs Triple H thing, a lot of possibilities, the ones I have heard, if Rock is there, you get Rock vs Lesnar, Cena vs Taker, and the World title matches, I don't think we get the Rock, so it would be Lesnar vs Taker, Cena in the title matches. Also a possibility with Mania, do we get Hogan and Sting too.

PWInsider.com is reporting that there is plenty of heat on Ryback over the past month. The internal feeling backstage is that Ryback has heat for a few reasons. The first reason being that his in ring work has regressed. Many WWE officials feel that Ryback is becoming more of a danger in the ring for his opponents and have been roughing up the talent, most notably CM Punk.

Another reason why Ryback has heat is that his media appearances are not going as well as planned. There have been talks that he acts like he does not want to be at the events and is hard to deal with. One source claims it looks like Ryback is constantly "annoyed" when making appearances for the company. It is even getting to the point that Vince McMahon is considering taking Paul Heyman off of him so Heyman can work with someone else.

"The bloom is off the rose" is a quote that was said about Ryback unless he can turn things around.

The Wyatt Family was a major focus of last night's edition of WWE Raw, and F4WOnline.com is reporting that the family's feud with Daniel Bryan and CM Punk is just beginning. Current plans call for a Survivor Series match of The Wyatt Family and one other WWE superstar vs Daniel Bryan, CM Punk and two other teammates of their own.

It was noted that this isn't supposed to be a burial of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, but rather a major push for The Wyatt Family. However, it does appear that Daniel Bryan is out of the WWE Title picture for now.

WWE Survivor Series will most likely see Randy Orton vs Big Show for the WWE Championship. The other match being discussed is Big Show vs Triple H in singles action.

Daniel Bryan vs Triple H was one of the original ideas for Survivor Series, but F4W is reporting that match is no longer being considered.

Bryan vs HHH would be interesting to see if HHH could use his legendary ability to carry a match with such a lesser talent.

You know who is going to wind up with Punk vs the Wyatts and he will kill the match. Kofi,he has to be put in all kind of matches for no eason.

Examiner.com is reporting that Hulk Hogan has made a verbal agreement to return to WWE. The article states that a source within WWE is saying that Hogan is officially back with the company but has not signed a legend's deal.

There is talk of Hogan being a surprise entrant in this year's Royal Rumble from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Hogan's name has been used more frequently on WWE television as of late to promote WWE 2K14. With this year being the 30th anniversary of WrestleMania, many reports have stated that Hogan will be contacted by WWE to make an appearance, possibly a match.

Below is an exact quote from the article that is on Examiner.com and their source from WWE:

"We knew this would happen at some point," the source tells Examiner. "It's my understanding that there isn't a contract in place, but there's a verbal agreement that will move forward. It's just a good fit for everybody involved, especially with the milestone WrestleMania 30 coming up. Hogan needed to finish up his stuff with TNA and just come home."

Furthermore, there is now a bidding war on Charitybuzz.com that faetures a meet and greet with Hulk Hogan, as well as 2 tickets to a WWE Live Events show in New Jersey in December
