I recently watched the Kayfabe Commentaries WCW 2000 Timeline with Vince Russo. I've said this before but it bears repeating: Vince Russo has become somewhat of a fall guy for what happened in WCW. Sure, he had a major part in the downfall, but there were a lot of people on the committee who sabotaged him. There were also times when he'd pitch an idea, have it go over in the meetings, and have the same people who praised his idea bury him behind his back. *coughtonyschiavonecough*

BTW, it was very interesting to get Russo's perspective on the Bash at the Beach shoot angle with Hogan. Hogan was kind of a penus.

WCW could have pulled out of their rut. Despite the horrible TV they were putting on, and the unforgivably blown big angles, they had a lot of talent.

Yikes. First, I really believe Dixie is a good person, and actually cares about the business. Still has an ego. But she's always been in over her head. She looks old. I don't mean that in a mean way. I think running this company is destroying her. I see it's being made a storyline. I really hope it works. But the Dixie v AJ promo just didn't work. It won't work. If they are getting rid of Hogan and Bischoff, and bringing all the midgets referenced in AJ's promo back....OK. "We're returning to our roots!" The ratings won't move, and we'll probably be more entertained.

The TNA Original v Dixie? The problem is she's right. If they work the angle about her dad's money, it's easy heat. But I still don't see it.

Was I the only one who watched this last night?
Semi-decent show. I was wrong they managed to fuck up the Ultimate X match.
The Sting-Magnus match was good. The Knockouts was lame,for a change it was Diva level bad.
Lots of backstage segments.
Bully Ray and AJ match was not all that bad.
They actually Gave Bromance the belts. What the Fuck,how could they give it to them and not Robbie T?

The Angle match was typical and he turned down the HOF induction saying he did not deserve it

According to yesterday's episode of Wrestling Observer Radio with Dave Meltzer, the Carter family is looking to sell TNA Wrestling, and the reason for the cutbacks this summer were because the family stopped pumping money into the company.


No matter what anyone says right now, there's big things going on behind the scenes as far as the ownership of the company, and at that point, god only knows where it goes … I think the Carters are looking to get out. They've lost enough money … But they've been looking to get out for a while.

A couple of blogs and websites have claimed WWE is interested in acquiring TNA Wrestling, but at the moment those rumors are complete speculation. No reputable sources have been able to confirm that Vince McMahon, or anyone inside WWE is even remotely interested in acquiring the company. Other names floating around are Eric Bischoff and former co-founder Jeff Jarrett

In a follow-up to the breaking story about the Carter family wanting to sell TNA, Brian Elliot of Fighting Spirit Magazine shared some more details behind the Carters wanting out of TNA. Elliot told WrestlingNewsSource.com that the Carters have been considering this move for several months, and that while they are taking quiet bids from a select group of people right now, the possibility of them going public with the sale at some point is certainly evident.

They would most likely go public once they had a bid already in place. This would raise the value of the company by perception and hopefully start a bidding war between potential buyers.

Elliot said the following about the situation:


"The Carter family has been open to receiving offers for TNA for several months. There are a select number of business people on the inside to whom this has been made clear. You have to understand that it's not like the company is going to be listed on eBay; keeping the fact that they are open to selling TNA to a small number of potentially interested parties keeps the price that the Carters can get for it at a much higher level than if they went public that the company was for sale. If someone does make a bid, that information will then be leaked in certain quarters, in the hope of starting a bidding war that would raise the price further. Like with Fusient Media's attempted purchase of WCW, if someone comes in with a bid, we'll soon know about it."

I really really hope and pray that Ted gets back in the buisness and hires someone good to run it.
