Figure Four Daily interview with the former writer behind @WWE_Creative: http://www.sendspace.com/file/q8du0v

Quote:
Figure Four Daily with Bryan Alvarez returns today with special guest Robert Karpeles, who was not only the brains behind @WWECreative_ish, but was, in fact, a member of the WWE writing crew for two years in the mid-00's. We'll talk the idea behind the Twitter, its shutdown and return, plus plenty of memories of the period including various wacky angles, some of which saw the light of day and some of which didn't, plus our expected story of whether Vince tried to kill him. A fun show as always so check it out~!

I for one am sorely disappointed we never got to see Vince's hobo army.

I'm throwing podcasts in the art of wrestling thread so they don't get mixed in with the news, etc.

I'm so upset we didn't get to see Vince's hobo army too. Just trying to picture it has me cracking up!!

- A report credited to the Wrestling Observer Monday stated that WWE officials are interested in having Bruno Sammartino headline next year's Hall of Fame class. In regards to the report, wrestling convention promoter Sal Corrente issued the following statement on behalf of the legendary grappler to PWInsider.com:

"We understand that word has broken on the Internet regarding "The Living Legend" Bruno Sammartino being inducted in to the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013. Since word has broken publicly, I can confirm that we have been contacted. I have been asked by Bruno Sammartino to announce that he will NOT be inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013."

PWInsider.com has confirmed that WWE has signed British star PAC, who had been working for Dragon Gate in Japan and DGUSA here in the States.

Kind of an odd signing for the E.

WWE Offers Contract to Top Women's Wrestler, Update on Other Talents Being Signed
By Marc Middleton
Jul 9, 2012 - 8:38:02 AM

- The landscape of WWE developmental is changing big time as some of the more popular independent wrestlers are being signed. Here is an update on some of the latest rumored names for WWE developmental:

* We noted before that international star Pac has been signed by WWE. He is currently in the middle of relocating to Florida and should start with FCW soon.

* Matt Taven has been offered a deal and he is currently undergoing testing. Taven has worked for Ring of Honor, Dragon Gate USA and other promotions.

* Sara Del Rey was indeed offered a WWE developmental deal. She is waiting on medical tests to return but the feeling is that she will pass everything fine.

Update on Kharma's Return to WWE, Santino Marella Hurting, Daniel Bryan Note
By Marc Middleton
Jul 8, 2012 - 9:29:56 AM

- Daniel Bryan noted in a recent interview that he would be moving to San Diego, California soon, from his current home in Las Vegas. Bryan's girlfriend, former WWE Diva Brie Bella, is from San Diego.

- William Regal lost to WWE United States Champion Santino Marella for the second night in a row at last night's RAW live event. Santino wrote on Twitter this morning that his ribs were sore from the fight.

- Kharma continues to tease her WWE return on Twitter, telling fans that she will be returning soon. A Kharma fan page posted that she had confirmed to them she will be returning on the 1,000th RAW episode later this month. Kharma shot that rumor down and says she never spoke to the fan page.

DOn't know if this will mean anything, but Kharma posted on Twitter that she's been sent to the Alumni page of WWE.com

Kharma
@Kharma
Yes. I have been officially promoted to the alumni section of the WWE roster

I will just add, I would like to see her vs Beth Phoenix, but after losing her baby, I wouldn't blame her if she never came back.

Supposedly she was released.

Hopefully not true.

Just got this from Wrestlezone on Kharma.

After alerting fans via Twitter that she had been moved to the WWE Alumni page, currently inactive Diva Kharma has been added back to the roster section of WWE.com.

It should be noted that while initial speculation (mainly due to her cryptic Tweet) was that Kharma may have been released from WWE, there has been no official announcement made by either WWE or Kharma

Tammy Sytch Entering Rehab Following Trip To The Emergency Room
By Daniel Pena
Jul 15, 2012 - 6:49:12 PM

WWE Hall of Famer Tammy "Sunny" Sytch, 39, is entering a drug rehabilitation center to address her longstanding issues with substance abuse.

She was admitted to an emergency room Friday night and her boyfriend, independent wrestler Damien Darling, insisted that she receive assistance. According to a press release issued by RF Video, she will enter the facility on Monday. She was scheduled to participate in a "shoot" interview Sunday where she was to have addressed her battles with drug addiction and her trail toward recovery.

The influential Diva's behavior has grown increasingly erratic since last summer when she split from her boyfriend of five years. New Jack, a former bounty hunter, claimed Sytch had asked him to her ex shortly after their break-up. In November, Sytch posted images online of injuries to her nose, forehead, wrist and foot when she fell down an escalator at Newark Liberty Airport. She claimed the fall stemmed from taking antibiotics for a viral infection. She has mentioned being hospitalized on her Facebook account numerous times since then, and in April, said that she suffered a concussion and a black eye after "taking a bad fall in the rain."

Sytch has also missed multiple scheduled appearances this year, which event promoters have attributed to "personal demons" and "personal issues." American Icon Autographs have stated that they have no intention of working with her again after she missed the WrestleReunion show in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in April, marking the third time she bailed on them. She also missed three dates for two promotions in Maine that month.

I'm shocked.

Good for Sunny that she'll be getting help finally after all these years. Shame on the dumb SOB that still thought it was a good idea to book her after all those years with substance abuse.

Supposedly she was supposed to be released but the website jumped the gun and moved her profile before the announcement.

Now they're just gonna wait a bit before releasing her.

WWE Makes Recruiting a Top Priority, AW Wants GM Job, Latest WWE Inbox, Kharma
By Marc Middleton
Jul 19, 2012 - 8:24:59 AM

- Below is episode #25 of WWE Inbox:

- AW says he should be the new RAW General Manager. He wrote on Twitter last night:

"I'm throwing my name in the hat for RAW GM. I'm the best qualified and suited for the position. "You can't have R"AW" without AW. ‪#Vote4Me"

- Kharma is reportedly under a 90-day non-compete clause after being let go by WWE sometime in the past week.

- Within WWE, recruiting is now the highest priority it has been since more than a decade ago when WWE had the original strong class in Ohio Valley Wrestling. Gerald Brisco and Canyon Ceman, a recent Triple H hire, were recruiting new talents this past week at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. They were specifically looking at wrestlers, weightlifters and track athletes. Brisco was highest on a bobsled racer who he thought had a great look and who loved wrestling. The racer is the pusher for his bobsled team and may want to wait until after the 2014 Winter Games

Watched SmackDown and they have a good 8 man tag match which is good because they are "rebuilding" this division. So then Big Show comes down and lays out 6 of them in 30 seconds. What the shit???? Why would they bury those guys like that?? For Big Show to say "And? What?" Maddening.

It's,the same philosophy Russchoff had with TNA regarding the X Division. Have the main event guy destroy the entire division to "show dominance", except you've established that those guys aren't impressive.

I haven't, and probably won't watch Smackdown. Unless it's in the seven minute DVR run. This is the exact reason they have a bunch of "superstars," and not talent that's really over.

You guys need to stop hating and start celebrating! His skullie looks good on any "Little Shows" out there, aka the kids who grow up idolizing "the biggest entertainer in sports entertainment" because when he turns heel, holy shit, you can feel the pervasive evilness seething out of your television.

Now I'm off to the bar to go talk to some women.

I would love for Big Show to be gone but I would rather have him run out to the ring and quickly beat down a few guys then have to suffer through an entrance, him on the mic and then a full match.
