Marquez will win. He will win by either a unanimous decision or knockout. His boxing style has frustrated Pacquiao in all 3 fights but he lacked the power to do any real damage. All of that has changed thanks to PED's. With his power and style Pacquiao won't stand a chance. It's a lock!

I hope you gamblers took my advice. Marquez new found power gave him the confidence to stand toe to toe with Pacquiao. Both of those knockouts were a thing of beauty. Pacquiao should be pissed that he lost at least $50M by not taking the Mayweather fight.

Mayweather had no intention of fighting him. He wants to protect the zero to the right of the hyphen.

Opinions vary, but now we'll never know. Even though you're a Floyd guy you know that is was your man who didn't want that match and proposed terms he knew would be unacceptable to Pacquiao's camp.

I think about 3-4 yrs ago Pac would have bodied Floyd. One thing was proven during the Cotto/Mayweather fight and its that If Floyd has a weakness its aggressive fighters who can turn fights into ugly brawls.
Pac in his prime might have been the fastest fighter ive ever seen. The way he would slip in with 2-3 punch combos and flawlessly slip out was masterful. Also the unusual angles he came in witht would have given Floyd fits

Yeah, a couple years back, I don't think Mayweather would have been able to win by staying in his defensive stance and waiting for Pacquiao to make a mistake like the one he made last night. The Pacquiao of a few years ago would have buried Mayweather with his work rate.

Floyd didn't want the fight to happen but Arum didn't either. Blaming one side and not the other has never made much sense to me. I also think the idea that Pacquiao wouldn't make mistakes that Mayweather could take advantage of is rubbish too; Manny has ALWAYS made mistakes, and his work rate has always depended in large part on his opponent not landing well-timed counters and not using lateral movement. Finally I have no doubt that Mayweather has probably been on stuff as well but I'll be damned if I'm going to believe it on the basis of rumors coming from Montoya and Hauser.

No. Mayweather achieved his goal of waiting until Pacquiao declined, lost a little power and a little quickness. It's obvious that Pacquiao's game depends on raw physical traits more than the skills utilized by Mayweather, so time was going to be on Floyd's side. If they made a fight now and Mayweather won, it would prove nothing. That was a fight for two years ago. I guess neither guy needs the money, but it's a fucking shame that the fans didn't get to see that fight. And it's foolish that a match wasn't made in a sport that is desperate for publicity and regularly gets its ass kicked by the Unshod Foot Club.

This. Boxing never misses a chance to put another nail in its own coffin.

I don't know about that. I'll take your word for it. But there are MMA fights televised at bars every week. It has to be a giant boxing match for the bar to put it on. At once of the recent fights the place I was at had about 3/4 of the TVs on the MMA event and the rest on the boxing match.

This is from this past January.

Quote:
While boxing had the top three marks of 2011, the injury-plagued UFC remained the most consistent producer of pay-per-view numbers for the sixth straight year. Of its 16 events in 2011, it had five of the top 10 and 12 of the top 17 shows for the year.
