It looks obvious that Bully Ray will be part of Aces and Eights.

Maybe a swerve. Who knows.

Watching the first 5-10 mins of the show. Not good. Devon forgot that his brothers name is Bully Ray now. Just stupid.

Goodness gracious, I just heard them yell "cut" at the end of the Anderson Aries deal. Bush.

I haven't watched Impact in a long time, but there is a REALLY good RVD/Austin Aries match going on right now.

Edit: Hogan and Bully Ray just got involved. Nevermind.

Yeah it was good until the end.

TNA seems to be going back to the Claire Lynch story, only using Bubba and Brooke Hogan.

Also, isn't Bubba like 20 years older than Brooke too.

I watched this as well as I was on daddy duty today and didn't want to play videogames tonight. Very very bad. They had a 10 minute segment with the dudes from the jersey shore and the dude from Big Brother. The crowd couldn't give a fuck less about either of them. The whole show sucked.

Devon telling Brooke to "shut up bitch" after kidnapping her was the highlight of Impact.

And Jeff Hardy has the Divas Championship belt again.

 I was really hoping they wouldn't drag that belt back out of the closet.

Yeah me too.

And now the Hogan family drama is in the main event spot.

A marriage proposal!

Combined with the Aces and Eights garbage (Drop In was right), the last 40 minutes have been turrible.

Devon and Aces and Eights came out with her after Sting killed Mike Knox is his first match. Bubba Ray rescued her quickly so it may not count as a full-fledged kidnapping.

Is it too much to ask for them to build this company around Aries, Roode, etc?

Well they're both in the main event at Genesis on Sunday.

But that'll be another "Jeff Hardy overcomes so much" match, so it will be pointless.

Wow. Now I know I'm Mr. TNA and everything, but what you just told me there was:

1. Another kidnapping
2. Sting wrestling
3. Knox getting buried in his first match
4. Bubba a face
5. Brooke Hogan on TV.

Bad

And the Bubba-Brooke wedding next week.

I never saw Jeff Hardy's marketability beyond an IC Title / U.S. Title level. Not sure why he's been allowed to hold so many World Titles. I don't get it.

Devon isn't the leader.

The "leader" hasn't been revealed yet, but the angle has been so awful that it won't matter who is eventually revealed to be in charge.

The leader is Ole Anderson. How do you guys not see that?

He's part of the defenders against Aces and Eights with such luminaries as Wes Brisco and Garrett Bischoff.

Abyss.

He came out earlier and begged Hogan for his "dream match".

Hogan granted it without either of them ever saying against whom.

TNA! TNA!

So Brooke Hogan was saved from ninjas on the same show? Samoa Joe must be PISSED! This is Russo laughable bad at this point. It proves that TV-14 doesn't mean the Attitude Era is coming back.

They had a really nice run, but the ratings were still stagnant. Aries becoming champ was the worst thing ever. The ratings collapsed, and it was the end of quality TV. Ratings are down? We need a a Hogan angle on the double!

At least TNA's tranny is a Hogan, not a Snuka.

In fairness, I haven't even viewed this week's episode. Doesn't sound like it will improve my view of the company direction.

That can't be true.

What's Aries up to these days?

He's fighting with Roode to see who can be the best heel with the best merch. Sounds horrible, not bad at all. It fits perfectly into the three-way, if you'll pardon the expression, for the PPV this Sunday.

Ok, well I can believe that part would be good at least.

Who's gonna be the leader of A's & 8's?
Bischoff
Hogan
Sting
Bubba
Dixie
Jarrett
Other

I think Bischoff, Bubba, and Jarrett will all be involved.

I found Jarrett nothing but annoying. Not in a good way. I enjoyed the slap nuts era, when he had Austin's third beaten wife as a sidekick. Of all people, my old DVD documentary enemy Mike Graham (RIP) said it best. It didn't matter how many guitars he wasted, he was still over in his own head alone.

Full disclosure, I did purchase the Jarrett TNA DVD, along with the TNA first year DVD. But that's due to my business interest. While I learned a few things, I also learned Jarrett started a promotion to be a champion. The end benefit was blanking Angle's wife.

He did a shoot fighting gimmick when they decided to put him against Angle. You know, because he helped recruit Angle to the company, waited until his ailing wife died, and started blanking Angle's wife on the road. Someone was slapping some nuts. Since real life issues are the only way to bump a rating .005 points, of course Kurt v Jarrett had to happen.

It definitely wasn't perfect, and I've been drinking, but that was an old school wrestling show. Whether you long for the old days of WWF or WCW, or are convinced Memphis needs to come back, this was it. No job matches, but the stories are there.
