I really like the move of putting the belt on The Rock. He is going to tote the strap up and down our tv and radio dial. And he has multiple movies coming out. The GI Joe sequel is sponsoring Elimination Chamber for Heenan's sakes!! If you are any fan of pro wrestling, this is Hogan showing up in a Rocky movie and Johnny Carson big. (I'm looking at you Bob Loblaw  )

How'd it work out the last time a movie star was made World Champion?

John Cena, Randy Orton, The Miz, oh, you meant the Arquette sibling I'd least like to fuck. :(

Yeah I saw someone tweet that earlier and it made me chuckle.

I understand why you have Rock win. But KS is right that it devalues the entire roster.

And if it was HHH that did it, people would scream bloody murder.

Have you looked at the WWE roster lately? Part time Rock is twice as better.

Mostly the predetermined Rock/Cena thing, and everything that goes along with it.

You want to get as much attention to the product as possible. Could you give Rock the title at Elimination Chamber, without him being at Royal Rumble? Sure. But fans would bitch he's coming in for an even shorter amount of time. The more I've thought about it, he couldn't lose in his run for the title. He'll be on every mainstream show you can think of now promoting his movies, with the title. Come WM, he drops to Cena. Receipt.

That's exactly the problem. They're going for the short term pop, and shitting on long term booking and developing their guys.
We could've and did predict this Wrestlemania match a year ago. AND THEY ACTUALLY WENT AHEAD AND DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everybody knows Rock isn't staying around with the company. Everybody knows Cena isn't losing twice in a row to the Rock. We knew it A YEAR AGO! AND THEY STILL DID IT!!!!!!!!

If you're gonna keep the belt on Punk for 400++++days, then at least have him keep it until Mania and have him lose there if you're gonna have him lose at all.

So for roughly a year, a year and a half, NOBODY could beat Punk. But then Mr. Hollywood just waltzes in and beats him like it's no big deal. The same dude that hasn't worn a belt in the WWE for like what, 10 years or so???????

You/they, just buried the entire roster basically.

Bibgo.

You have a heel champ for almost 500 days come Mania - the babyface chasing that belt and gets a win at Mania over Punk will be catapulted to the top. Whether its ADR or Sheamus or Ziggler as a face - instant superstar they have been trying to create. Instead they give it to Rock who doesn't need it. That's the part that bothers me. And the whole ending was awful. Just a weak finish. Why does Rock get to restart the match? What is that crap. And at least give your real finisher to the champ to pin him, not the "tickle elbow". Gah.

I really, really was left wanting with how they booked the last 15 minutes of the PPV ... the whole kill the lights nonsense with no actual reveal of the culprits was the best idea they could come up with?

I mean, we have an obvious outcome, leading to an outcome a year in the making .... everyone knows it, everyone sees it, everyone expects it - all the pieces are basically there, so the only thought necessary is in how to present it in the most entertaining fashion possible, and that was the best idea they could come up with?

Nice to see Jericho; whatever he got paid is almost certainly worth it.

I'm also at my limit for the slow-burn on what they're going to do with the Shield. Shit or get off the pot already.

Glad the stream lasted the whole show; glad as hell I didn't pay a dime for it, too.

Daniel Bryan is really over.

Since Great Khali already walks like 2013 Iron Sheik, they should give him that gimmick. Just talking about F**King asses and making people humble.

Rey Mysterio looks horrible.

Michael Cole might have been drinking.

3MB is WCW heat.

I would be fine with The Miz going away altogether. This Flair pairing is offensive.

I'm in Phoenix for work, so went to the Rumble last night. After the Rumble, went to the Hard Rock across the street from US Airways Center and ended up sitting next to one of the Godfather's Ho's from the evening (girl in the green dress, named Jessica). WWE contacted her modeling agency late on Friday. She knew nothing of wrestling prior to the evening, so she wasn't great with names. She said the writing team informed her, Godfather, other ho, of their roles for the night in the green room. There's two rooms set up backstage, one green room, and one informal large locker room type area. Both rooms have TV's with the feed, and also both had screens with live twitter feeds of WWE. She said, for what it's worth, the writing staff pays a lot of attention to the twitter feed. Also for whatever it's worth, she said the Godfather was there with his young son (good guy), Cody Rhodes was a class act, and after Kane/Bryan won their tag bout, both immediately came into the green room and went over their moves for the Rumble match. She said all the talk backstage was wrestlers going over their choreograpy. Said Vince was firmly in charge back stage, pacing the director's area. None of this is groundbreaking info, but thought it was interesting.

I totally agree. Shit like that can't be good for locker room morale. Evan Bourne was going off on Facebook last night about Rock winning the title. He said he's arrogant and condescending towards the wrestlers, has his own dressing room, and basically just pulls up in his limo, gets his script, does his shit and leaves. Not too fucking cool.

Don't worry, the WWE has its fingers on the pulse of its most faithful consumers, and it knows that SUPERCENA winning the title back from the rock will make everyone fall in love with the business again.

Also, has he done a bright pink shirt/hat/wristbands combo yet? if not, shit, my body is ready.
