I went to my first non-WWE/WCW 'event' ever last night... and I had an f'n blast. The wrestling was just as you would expect, but the entertainment value is high. Yelling at the wrestlers is surprisingly enjoyable (although we did start worrying about them waiting for us in the parking lot). There were a couple really bad wrestlers, but also a few that had some potential. But even the bad ones ended up putting on a decent show.

All in all, definitely recommend trying out a small-time Wrestling show. Worth the $10 admission.

I kept seeing the sign promoting wrestling events when I would drive by the Elburn Community Center in the last 6 months. That was actually better than I thought it would judging from their website. Did you cheer for or boo "the carpenter"?

Loved the carpenter (once he lost the hard-hat). How about the front flip that big guy did into that freak in the corner? I thought he was dead. He stumbled out of the back later on and looked like he could hardly breathe.

NAPW tonight features Colt Cabana. Can't believe he is playing a "gym" this small, but it should be a good time.

He is doing a gym by me as well in the next month or so. I think Abyss is scheduled to appear as well. I might have to go to this for the 15 or less dollars that it costs.
