WWE News: Raw TV preview - Lesnar officially returns, Cena to debut car, Super Smackdown lead-in, Extreme Rules, Stooges, bonus match for live D.C. crowd Apr 9, 2012 - 12:42:46 AM Following last week's WrestleMania Week fall-out, WWE returns to a sense of regularity Monday night with a live two-hour Raw prior to the start of the bi-annual European Tour. The following items are in-play. -- WWE will have follow-up on Brock Lesnar returning to WWE after an eight-year absence and Lesnar targeting John Cena upon his return. Lesnar is advertised for a physical appearance at the Raw taping in Washington, D.C. Local advertising reads, "How will John Cena respond to Brock Lesnar in Washington, D.C. next week after Lesnar’s actions this past week on Raw?!" -- Cena will debut his new "dream machine" vehicle promoting the season premiere of Syfy's "Dream Machines" show Tuesday night after the live Super Smackdown episode. -- WWE will be promoting the live Super Smackdown episode tomorrow night with scheduled appearances from Smackdown brand stars. Top stars advertised include World Hvt. champion Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Mark Henry, Big Show, Cody Rhodes, and Christian. -- Concerning the Raw brand's WWE Title picture, there will be follow-up on Chris Jericho attacking champion C.M. Punk to set the stage for a likely title re-match at the Extreme Rules PPV at the end of the month. Also, WWE played up an injury angle during the past week suggesting Punk "suffered a head injury" following Jericho's alcohol bottle attack last week. -- After taking last week to reflect on WrestleMania 28 events the night before, WWE will likely begin announcing matches for the Extreme Rules PPV prior to next week's taped Raw from the U.K. -- Stars of the "Three Stooges" movie will have guest-starring roles during Raw promoting the new movie out this coming weekend. -- The advertised bonus match for the live crowd in D.C. is Cena & Punk vs. Kane & Jericho. |

Also get to see what Lord Tensai does tonight, may not matter to people, but if this guy moves onto Punk soon, see how they build him. Also, since it will be Jericho-Punk at the next ppv and it's called Extreme Rules, do we get the stipulation tonight. |

"Big Johnny?" Really? Bad. Can't decide if I like Otunga's role or not. Seems to be the best thing he's had, but they've done very little with him as a wrestler. Hopefully he's getting better in the ring because with the opportunity they've currently given him he has a chance to shine. Can't decide if this Lesnar thing was wasted the way it went down. Guess we'll find out. |

I like that "Big Johnny" is responsible for bringing him in. I'm scared to death Lesnar is already going to wrestle in just a few weeks. That could be really bad and Cena isn't exactly a guy in the ring that can wrestle for two so to speak. Has potential shit show written all over it. With that said, this show is in Chicago...hmmm |

I like what they're doing here actually. Trying to blur the lines a bit. Cena bloodied up. "Bringing legitimacy back to the company." This can be good if done right. Still VERY concerned about the wrestling in just a few weeks. I doubt he's ready. |

Why are Del Rio and Swagger holding Cena back? |

Nice pull-apart brawl there. No bullshit, cartoonish "crowd singalong" promos. They're really selling the fact that these two guys don't like each other. That's been missing from WWE for a very long time. That was more of a wrestling segment than a "sports entertainment" segment. They need to do more of this. |

One jump too many. Each get one and break it up. Went a tad long but pretty good overall. |

He can come out, shake Big Johnny's hand, and Cena's music hits immediately. Or, don't even have Cena's music hit. |

Why is Mark Henry holding back Lesnar? We would he care if Cena is getting the shit beat out of him? I think that's my only beef with that segment other than we barely got to here from Lesnar. I would have liked a little more back story before that mele. I was actually fine with happened though. Thought the bloody teeth shot of Cena was a nice touch actually. |

I think we both took it a little too far that day. No hard feelings. |

That was damn good. Give me anything but goofy Cena comedy bullshit. I want whatever the opposite of the Cena v Rock build was. Can't wait to see how Mitchell criticizes it. Probably mad now that UFC was mentioned. |

I think with the exception of some minor details, we all agree that opening segment was good. Can they keep this up or does the show start to fall a part? I'm guessing we have a women's match coming up...yawn |
