WWE Smackdown TV preview 4/10

Less than two months after the previous live Super Smackdown episode, the blue brand returns to Tuesday nights for a two-hour special leading into Syfy's new "Dream Machines" show. The following items are in-play for the live Smackdown/TV taping in Hampton, Va.

-- WWE is centering the live episode around an old-school theme. The list of Legends advertised for the "Blast from the Past" episode include Roddy Piper, Mick Foley, "Mean" Gene Okerlund, Pat Patterson, "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, Dusty Rhodes, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Tony Atlas, Jimmy Hart, The Fink, and Hillbilly Jim.

-- Related to the current roster, the key item will be following up on World Hvt. champion Sheamus's Brogue Kick to referee Chad Patton at the end of last week's Smackdown. WWE is advertising "repercussions" for the referee attack angle.

Also related to the World Title, former champ Daniel Bryan is still in-line for a future re-match and Alberto Del Rio claimed a future title shot on last week's Smackdown.

-- The advertised bonus match for the live crowd in Hampton is a six-man tag match of Sheamus & IC champion Big Show & Randy Orton vs. D-Bryan & Mark Henry & Cody Rhodes

This marks the third and final week I actually pay attention to Smackdown. Piper and Daniel Bryan could be a thing.

Cowboy Bob's arm finally healed?!

It only took 30 years for the cast to come off!

I would be totally fine with Jimmy Hart managing a Tyson Kidd/___________ tough guy tag team.

If I were a legend, I wouldn't show up to these things. Kane possibly killed Orton Sr. Jimmy Hart was choked out. It's like being in an old folks home with Verne.

He looks like he's lost weight. Sometimes a positive move like that will make you look older. He is 66 and led a tough life. The forehead scars you could stick a quarter in don't help.

I think it was the lost weight making his face sag.

Not really.

It was pretty stupid. Just an excuse for old timers to come out.

Following Tuesday's live Super Smackdown episode, Mick Foley tweeted, "I had a slight problem at Smackdown, so I took care of it. I didn't ask WWE to send him home, but I'm glad they did. Sayanora scumbag."

This appears to be a reference to Foley's developing feud with WWE developmental wrestler Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley).

Hopefully this gets Ambrose to the main roster.

10 years from now, this will still be funny.

She was kinda fun bad, good change of pace. Tyson Kidd looks human with hair.
