Posted in: WWE Brock Lesnar Goes Ballistic Backstage At Extreme Rules By Michael Bluth May 1, 2012 - 4:54:24 AM Brock Lesnar's match with John Cena at Sunday's Extreme Rules pay-per-view got rave reviews from most fans who saw the show, but Lesnar went ballistic backstage after the match and was screaming at WWE officials and ripping apart the locker room. According to PWinsider.com, the huge blow-up took place because of the promo John Cena cut after the match. The original plan was for Cena to be so badly hurt by Lesnar that even though he won, he would be stretchered out, which would keep Lesnar looking strong. Lesnar perceived Cena's speech as a double cross by WWE officials and totally lost it backstage. The angle on RAW with Lesnar and Triple H and Lesnar's temporary departure from WWE television was the plan all along, but relations between Lesnar and WWE are not good at the moment |

Sin Cara Ready For His Return, More On Heyman Working With WWE By Michael Bluth May 2, 2012 - 7:20:56 PM - The Miz is currently in Brazil doing promotional work for WWE's upcoming tour there. - There was said to be a lot of "on the fly" booking at Sunday's WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view and Monday's RAW Supershow. - Tyson Kidd wrote on Twitter that he has named his new submission finisher The Dungeon Lock, paying homage to his roots and The Hart Family Dungeon. The move looks like a mix between Hell's Gate and The Sharpshooter. Speaking of Kidd, he and Justin Gabriel's tag team will be featured on WWE TV when Gabriel returns from injury later this month -- As previously reported, Paul Heyman will be heading to WWE headquarters soon to work on the new CM Punk DVD. Last year, Heyman was interviewed for Steve Austin's most recent DVD set. Both Steve Austin and CM Punk personally requested that Heyman be involved in their projects. -- Sin Cara will be returning to action on WWE's upcoming tour of Mexico. An announcement was made on on the April 30th episode of RAW that aired in Mexico. During a recent media interview promoting his return, Sin Cara said he expects things to go a lot better for him in WWE this time around. Sin Cara specifically mentioned that he's used to working the "right side" of the body (as they do in Mexico, but not in WWE) - and he's now much more comfortable working the WWE style. Edge's WWE Contract Status, Michael Cole's Role As Heel Announcer By Michael Bluth May 2, 2012 - 7:10:38 PM -- Edge’s WWE contract expired on April 30th and he has not signed a new deal with the company. When he made a surprise appearance on RAW several weeks ago and gave John Cena a pep talk, he was there to meet with WWE officials, but nothing came of it. He was forced to pull out of a scheduled appearance for Billy Corgan’s Resistance Pro Wrestling show on 5/11 because of his filming schedule for Syfy's “Haven” show, but he did promise to appear at a future RPW show. -- Michael Cole's heel announcer gimmick was supposed to officially end at WrestleMania 28. His new role is to be an "edgy" character who still respects John Laurinaitis, one of WWE's top heels. A recent sign of Cole retreating from being an annoying heel and shifting to a more neutral role was that he was sympathetic towards John Cena during his feud with Brock Lesnar. Backstage News on John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar, Lesnar Likely To Be Used Sparingly By Marc Middleton May 2, 2012 - 7:42:23 PM - As noted before, Brock Lesnar was told he would be losing to John Cena at Extreme Rules several weeks back. Lesnar has made it clear that he's about the money, not the ego, and if they want him to lose, he has no problem with it as long as they play fair with him. According to sources, it was made clear to Cena and Lesnar that their feud would be a one-match program. Officials felt that Lesnar could leave at any time and they needed their top guy getting the win first time out to make sure that it happened. WWE has already used 5 of Lesnar's limited dates in the first month of his contract so expect him to be used sparingly if at all over the next few months. With that said, Lesnar vs. Triple H for SummerSlam is reportedly in the works |
