Is the ECW now considered mainstream? secondary? to WWF? WCW? etc??

Followed some ECW when it was really EXTREEEM. Had a guy who worked for Promotions, went to see a match at the Aragon.

Got a New Jack City coming off the balcony, dropping an elbow on the nerdy smaller Dudley brother.

However you cut it, I would not jump from that Balcony yet alone get jumped on, or drop an elbow from that height!

ECW was never really mainstream. That was the appeal. It had a cult following, but as far as national popularity it was always 3rd behind WCW and the WWF.

Until 1998, my only exposure to ECW was in the Apter magazines. Then on late Saturday nights I started watching Hardcore TV on WCIU. I thought certain wrestlers were cool, but I never was a real ECW fan.
