Adam Cole vs. Kyle O'Reilly (Hybrid Rules Match): Match can only be won by submission or knockout. Cole finds a way to win. Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. The Guardians of Truth (w/ Truth Martini) : Briscoes won't lose on back to back iPPV's. Eddie Edwards vs. Homicide: Edwards continues his run through former ROH champions with another win. Roderick Strong vs. Jay Lethal vs. Tomasso Ciampo (ROH TV Title - Three Way Dance): Roderick Strong wins. Fit Finlay vs. Michael Elgin: Elgin is what the E wants Ryback to be. Unfortunately for them, he's much better at it. Elgin wins. Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas vs. The All Night Express (ROH Tag Team Titles - Disqualification Rule Waived): WGTT wins using some outlandish weapon. Maybe chloroform. Or Colorforms. Kevin Steen vs. Davey Richards (ROH World Title - No Rules): Steen keeps his title and Davey goes away. |

ROH = bringing the "Holy Shit" back to wrestling. Loved the main event and loved ANX won the titles. Especially how it finished. Announcers were awesome, refs were awesome, Corino was awesome announcing, Steen promo was awesome. Holy crap, poor Adam Cole. I hope his teeth didn't land in Beebo's lap. |

No, I was up in the balcony, so no troubles there. It was a far different show live. What we had was chants going off because we were so damned bored. The Adam Cole/O'Reilly thang was a boring as hell, until O'Reilly busted up Cole's face. Fit Finley versus Elgin, too, was a stinker. Homicide/Edwards, OMG! I'll be honest with you, I was thinking of leaving at intermission. That and goddamned ring ropes! You'd think those assholes would set the ring up right for a PPV. You know, keep the show at a decent pace. No suck luck... Mondo versus Bennett. Pretty good.Strong beating Lethal and Papa Smurf was also pretty good. Something's awry with Tomasso, besides the blonde beard. All Night Express versus Haas/Benjamin was damned good. The faces were pretty damned compelling. The Steen match was just great. I'm sick and tired of inept blind, do-nothing referees, so whacking both down mad me happy. The ring announcer getting his was novel enough, too. The chain was so stupid it was funny. Especially Steen trying to move the thing so Richards would see it is pretty comical. Trying to tie a knot in the chain! WTF. The ending was good, but no good conclusion. Far better for Steen to say, "I get it. You boo boring. You cheer good wrestling/good exciting series of moves. You don't give a rats ass about the personalities. Well I'm Kevin Steen and I'm not boring." Next week Steen throws the refs into a giant blender and hits the liquefy button. If Corny doesn't soon figure out a compelling angle for him to oppose Steen, then he can jump in the blender with them. |

Sounds like all the drama with the ippv feed not working was overblown and 95% of the people had no issues. I got on the stream during the anx vs wgtt match, so based on Beebo's live report, it sounds like that was perfect timing. There were so many roll ups and small packages during the tag title match, that was the only way that match could end. The main event was intense start to finish. I could do without the spike at the end, but the finish seemed a little flat to the crowd and were expecting more. Very fun match to watch though. No clue whatsoever where you go with Steen from here. He couldn't have done a better promo to get the crowd against him and it sounded like they wanted no part of that. Guardians of Truth were the Headbangers. http://www.sendspace.com/file/0xjw8o |
