Former WWE Champion Possibly Returning on Tonight's RAW Supershow
By Marc Middleton
Jul 9, 2012 - 8:55:29 AM

- WWE Legend Bob Backlund is expected to be the Legend who returns on tonight's WWE RAW Supershow. If Backlund is indeed the Legend for this week, he will likely do a match or angle with Heath Slater.

Backlund was visiting his mother at her rest home in Minnesota this weekend and told people there that he was headed to Denver, Colorado where tonight's RAW Supershow is being held.

The two-time WWE Champion last appeared on WWE TV in 2007 for the RAW 15th Anniversary show.

News for Tonight's RAW Supershow - Kidd-Tensai, SmackDown Tapings, Mystery GM, More
By Marc Middleton
Jul 9, 2012 - 8:32:01 AM

- Tonight's WWE RAW Supershow takes place from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. Advertised locally is John Cena vs. Big Show and John Laurinaitis in a Handicap Match. WWE will also tape SmackDown tonight as Tuesday's tapings were canceled due to the Colorado wildfires. Tonight's tapings will see Superstars first, RAW live at 9pm EST and then SmackDown following RAW.

WWE is hyping the following points for tonight's show:

* What is AJ Lee up to as we approach Money in the Bank?

* Who will be the next Superstar to fall victim to Alberto Del Rio's wrath?

* A possible rematch between Tensai and Tyson Kidd

* More as The Prime Time Players go for the WWE Tag Team Titles

* Who will the mystery General Manager be?

Is there any reason to DVR this or is it going to be awful again?

Anything to get Michael Cole to stop reading off of a piece of paper laid out on a laptop keyboard. Ugh.

Not only Bob me too. I thought Jack was the shit.
This is just awful. I really understand the need to build up the PPV but these made on the fly Tag Team matches are utter and complete bullshit.Hard to build up individual feuds and such when you got this hot mess going on every week on both shows.

I think they're jobbing Swagger for a comeback. It's like the MVP streak, not just random jobs.

Obviously not.

It's incredibly disappointing.

If I cared less about this tag match, it would be part of the computer GM era. Oh, wait.

This is like a mixed tag match. Kane v. Show and Cena v. Jericho. Double Ugh.

For a company that has no use for a tag team division, they sure do like tag team matches.

Matt Hardy snuck in to the arena. Further under the ring is a bowl of grapes.
