Gilbert vs Henderson Mir vs DC I'm wondering how the UFC really feels about Benson. 2 straight title fights on free tv. I'm thinking they don't think he can draw PPV buys. This will be his 3rd fight on a FOX card, and 2nd title defense. |

Just added Matt Brown vs Dan Hardy...decent 3rd fight(probably open the show) I actually think it was FOX that came to the UFC and said step it the fuck up or find yourself replaced. While the ratings were a bit better than what the shows they had on usually at that time on a Saturday they also aren't paying COPS $90 million a year. |

I think Benson can be extremely marketable. Hes an exciting fighter, has personality, respectful and seems like an all around good guy. And being on Fox is a pretty big deal. Instead of being exposed to 3-400k people on ppv, he can fight in front of i dont know how many millions. Alot more exposure on free tv and if he can put on exciting and action packed fights then he can draw a bigger ppv audience for the ufc |

Benson only makes 30K a fight because he still on his old WEC contract which seems ridicules for a champ in any weight class. |

Bens salary for his last fight was 39k plus a 39k win bonus. Im sure he will get a significant pay bump for his next contract |
