I'll be at The Squared Circle tonight watching the Blackhawks and Slammiversary. I'm most interested in the X-Division title match and if the new signee shows up tonight. How about John Morrison?

Shouldn't they have a decent PPV or even consistent anything before a HOF

I'll have you know that the threesome story is 100% true. And so is the following statement:

I'm watching a World Tag Team Title Match, and there's 8 men in the ring.

Teddy Long is GM of TNA now???

Also I am one of probably one of 2 people who believed your 3-some story. But no way is Chavo World Champ. I cannot be a wrestling fan in that kind of world.

All that back and forth for nothing. WAS is now the proper term for Chavo. 'Course that frees him up to go for the REAL gold!!

I can't wait to take you to a TRat game. No your sex group is not invited.

i loved the "this is awful" chants leading into that blonde chick putting in the finishing spot on gail kim. i too was relatively impressed with the workrate in that match..... it almost made up for the match that solely existed to try and get crackhead hardy back over again with the crowd... YAAAAWN.

still tho, most LOL moment of the night was HHHogan coming out to steal all of the spotlight from the new x-division champ... and then he said that dude's got a crack @ the TNA title belt @ the canceled PPV. awww yeah come to the beachhouse, brother.

lol bully ray starts tearing up the ring invoking E-C-DUB chants from the crowd b4 TNA quickly switches from the live crowd mic to the prerecorded noise crowd sounds. well played.

Post subject:  Re: TNA Slammiversary 2013

HEY WHADDYA KNOW OUT OF NOWHERE* I'M HEARING T-N-A- CHANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

they really put the kibosch on that e-c-dub chant... lol. so remember kids, @ a TNA show you CAN chant "this is awful" during the knockouts match, but start invoking e-c-dub and they're gonna cut you off horrorshow fast

Author:  sinicalypse [ Sun Jun 02, 2013 9:51 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: TNA Slammiversary 2013

bully ray wins..... damn. i thought they'd milk this for another ~10mins to get us a clean 3hr PPV so NO MORE TITLE SHOTS FOR THE ICON..... wow. mr. anderson with the clutch hammer.... "it's family my friends, it's a family affair" - taz

so they're gonna end the PPV with this dirty finish? no retribution for the hammer? really?

Post subject:  Re: TNA Slammiversary 2013

so yeah, i'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that you can chant "this is awful" and that's OK but if you start chanting E-C-DUB during a moment with an ex-ECW guy doing ECW things and they're gonna squash that chant hella fast.

idk what's more depressing.... that ending to the PPV or the realization that there's no more BERGERTIME(tm) to be had. i'm gonna sit up at 2:30am on sunday mornings now making my own BERGER BITES(tm) to keep the spirit alive

I actually said that up until that point in the night. Confused by people chanting it sucked.
Also, how does one listen to the Law?

I haven't watched the PPV yet, but I decided I'd listen to last nights LAW since I hadn't heard it in months. The first thing they mention is the chicks match was great. Then I checked this thread and you guys said it was good and then Meltzer was on the LAW and he said it was really good. Taryn? Unreal. I never thought i'd look forward to watching a TNA ppv ever again.

i just stumbled across this article on the torch where one of their guys "previewed" the PPV by writing up what he thought was gonna happen. it's downright fucking eerie how much of it he was completely spot on about..... the only thing/s he was wrong about was that it was angle getting inducted into the HOF, therefore he got the win over a.j. styles for more of that feelgood stuff.

They Said We Wouldn't Last Eleven Weeks: McNEILL previews TNA Slammiversary 2013!

Jun 2, 2013 - 4:20:51 PM
By Pat McNeill, PWTorch Columnist

"[A] welfare promotion for a bunch of has beens and locker room lawyers..."
- Bruce Mitchell describes NWA-TNA, June 7, 2003.

Wake the pets and call the neighbors. It's time for our monthly TNA Wrestling pay-per-view preview column!

On with the projections!

TNA's big free agent acquisition: Best case scenario? It's Prince Devitt. Worst-case scenario? Nick Hogan.

New TNA Hall of Famer: Our readers voted for Jeff Jarrett in an online poll. However, it will most likely be Hulk Hogan. Yeah, I know! Exciting, ain't it?

Jay Bradley vs. Sam Shaw: The winner of this one gets a slot in the all-important Bound For Glory series. Projection? Neither wrestler is injured. Neither wrestler has visa problems. So, Bradley gets the win with the Boomstick. Good for Jay.

Taryn Terrell vs. Gail Kim (Last Knockout Standing): Taryn Terrell has done surprisingly well as the referee turned upstart Knockout. And she's in there with the best of the best, as far as the Knockout division is concerned. Projection? Gail dominates, Taryn hits a bulldog on the floor and beats the ten count to score the upset. This sets up the big Taryn vs. Mickie feud you'll see on Impact for the next several weeks. No, I'm not kidding.

Kenny King vs. Chris Sabin vs. Suicide (TNA X Division Title - Ultimate X Match): Kudos to TNA for this attempt to liven up the X Division. Maybe this won't be the opening match! Projection? Suicide puts on a show, but it's Sabin who knocks King off the ropes to grab the championship belt. This show is begging for a feel good moment.

Sgt. Devon vs. Joseph Park (TNA Television Title): This is the TNA Television Title, the title that was supposed to be defended on TNA Impact every week, but now only gets defended on pay-per-view. What, too snarky? Projection? We have a hard-fought contest, which Devon wins with a low blow. Devon & Knux have Park at their mercy after the match. The lights go out. When they come back on, Abyss is in the ring beating up Devon and Knux, with Park nowhere to be seen. Let's keep this simple.

Austin Aries & Bobby Roode vs. Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez vs. Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian vs. James Storm & Gunner Steele (TNA World Tag Team Titles - Four Way Dance Elimination Match): You might think TNA's tag team division is stagnating, but I can assure you that's not the case. You see, instead of the three team match we had at Lockdown, TNA has added a FOURTH team for this show! Projection? Hernandez pins Kazarian, Roode pins Hernandez, and Storm & Gunner hit their version of the Beer Money finisher on Roode. Storm & Gunner are your new TNA tag team champions.

Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe & Nick Magnus vs. Three Aces & Eights members: I'm guessing our mystery trio consists of Doc Hankinson, Wes Briscoe, Garret Bischoff with D'Lo Brown in their corner. Projection? The usual heel shenanigans from Aces & Eights, but Joe hits Garret with the Muscle Buster and Jeff hits the Swanton for the pin. Jeff Hardy gets even with Aces & Eights. Sort of. Maybe.

Kurt Angle vs. A.J. Styles: This is Match #690 in their Best of 3001 series. Projection? A long, impressive match, ends when Ken Anderson runs in and distracts Kurt Angle, leading to Styles pinning Angle with the Bearded Styles Clash.

Bully Ray vs. Sting (TNA World Heavyweight Title - No Holds Barred): It would make no sense for Sting to win the TNA World Title tonight in Boston. But don't underestimate how much Dixie Carter and Hulk Hogan like the Stinger. It's a possibility. Projection? Aces & Eights runs in to interfere. Hogan leads the TNA good guys to make the save. And by "leads," Hogan stands on the ramp and yells for Jeff Hardy and friends to "go get 'em." The good guys run off Bully's stooges, but Bully hits Sting with a chain and wins the match. Most important of all, Brooke Hogan should not be involved in the finish. Really.

Aftermath: I can tell you the big pretaped TNA Hardcore Justice pay-per-view debuts on July 5th, where fans can see Team 3-D reunite (again) to take on Jeff Hardy and a Mystery Partner in a tables match. The Young Bucks, er, Generation Me will return to TNA against Bad Influence in a ladder match. And, Bob Holly will make his Hardcore Justice debut. Yes, he will.

Pre-taped PPVS??? How long have they been doing that?

Author:  Bob Loblaw [ Mon Jun 03, 2013 12:02 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: TNA Slammiversary 2013

they pre-taped a bunch of ppv's to fulfill their ppv obligations. They went from monthly ppv's to 4 per year. these air the first friday of each month for $10-$15 i think. each is a themed show. The first was x-division, the second was like WCW battle bowl. random tag teams and then a royal rumble. they bring back a lot of former tna guys. i think there's another ecw reunion show and one is a tg tournament.
