I was just reading about this.

Pretty cool idea.

9.99 a month and get access to all their video stuff and get the monthly PPVs.

To me, this is nuts. You can get Wrestlemania for 9.99 instead of 70.

That would be nuts to them too. So there is a 6 month commitment.

And I am guessing after they get everyone attached to it, they will raise the monthly price.

I am quite sure they have a plan in place that will make money.

Plus on Demand every single ECW,WCW and WWE/F PPV from the vaults. Looking better and better. The only thing that would make it complete is if they had all the Nitro,Thunder,ECW TV and WWE Tv shows available.
Just think I will be able to watch every In Your House every recorded!!!!!

The only ones that don't like it right now are the cable and satellite companies.

They were wondering on the LAW last night, that the ppv's could start to go down a little and what could be something from Meltzer, won't need to bring in guys like the Rock for 1 event much anymore.

DirecTv has already stated that they are going to drop the PPV because they will not be able to make money on them

So who on the board is going to purchase the network? I think I'm in on it. Can't wait to watch the old PPV's. I didn't watch WCW much, until the NWO came along, so I want to see their old school events.

I am. You got to check out the Wargames stuff classic and the Horsemen beating the tar out of Sting

WWE released a list of the ppv's that will be on the network, pretty solid.

I don't watch enough tv to get the WWE Channel. Between regular cable, Netflix, and going to the movies for new releases, that is my budget for viewing entertainment. This would be good during the crummy weather months, but during the spring/summer, I am just not in front of a tv enough. I have to fight and compromise my time to watch Nascar every weekend, I would feel obligated to spend time watching when I could be outside.

I hope it works and becomes another viable revenue stream for the company. Will there be time for a Tout highlight show?

Im just wondering with them doing the ppv's and if the first month will have issues, and the bad thing that's Mania.

Like the Ippv's and if I remember right XBOX was going to have a UFC ppv and that didn't work out.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this isn't an actual TV channel right? Everything I've read says it is an online streaming network....so it has nothing to do with TV or cable subscriptions?

It's a web based subscription service, so it's not through cable. Pretty much just think of Netflix. They will be very device focused, as well as AppleTV, etc.

Now I wonder if they will limit the number of devices you can register to view on each account? Or will they do a max of one log on at a time per account?

So I'm trying to sign up and I'm not seeing any way where I'm getting it without paying something up front. I have gone back and clicked the "one week free trial" and it says it's going to bill whatever payment method I use $9.99, even after I uncheck the box that says to automatically renew.

got all signed up. So much good stuff looking through this. My daughters are going to flip when they find out we got this. They have asked and asked to get it and we just ignore them.

Network streams fine on my laptop and ipad but unfortunately the XBOX app still doesn't work properly. I'm able to load and play everything I've tried so far except for the WCCW show from 82. First PPV I checked out was Chi-Town Rumble from 89. Keen Observers will notice a young Dave Meltzer sitting ringside.

Couple of things so far.

The women from the attitude era where way way hotter than the chicks now except for Maryese and Velvet Sky

They said all of the PPV would be up for watching but that does not seem to be the case.

So do you have a job or is our tax money subsidizing your WWE network subscription?

Seems to be working alot better on the PS4 now. The only problem I'm having, is when I skip to a match I want, it buffers every few seconds.

So no Xbox One support yet and the 360 version doesn't work right? That's a dealbreaker.

Thanks for the info, Matches.

My thought on it, it seems like a nice thing and could be something of the future, but I would be worried on the ppv's, especially WrestleMania, I could see with everyone getting on at that time, a lot of crashes.

If I were the WWE, still make a deal with the satellite and cable companies, to keep PPV's on them for a couple months and I don't know if they would go for that, and to help the consumer, if you have the network and crashes and you buy the ppv to still see, get a Rebate.

My guess is they launched it far enough ahead of Mania to work out all the kinks before then. But if they have problems with people seeing their biggest PPV of the year then they are going to have a mess on their hands
