Months ago Arum said they had agreed to everything and signed a contract. We knew that was a lie. We found out that there was major issues between HO and Showtime that need to be addressed. Days ago Arum's told us that there were only 2 issues that needed to be addressed. I'm confident that he is lying again. |

The fight that everyone wants to see might, just might, be finalized as early as this weekend, but there’s still a big “if” involving one of the parties. Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. may have agreed to terms for what would be a megafight between welterweight champions in early May, as the Examiner reported last month, but the tricky part hasn’t changed: getting Mayweather to sign. The fight, as anticipated, would be the richest in the history of the sport, with a purse worth as much as $250 million, according to the Telegraph on Saturday. Pacquiao, who has been the more vocal of the two men in urging that the fight come about, completed his contractual agreement Saturday. Long ago, Pacquiao had agreed to 40 percent of the proceeds and now, Mayweather must actually sign off on the deal. Although reports indicated he might do just that during the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, ESPN reported that that is not the case. |

I'm telling you, it isn't about the money. Pacquaio has acquiesced to make the fight. This is straight up fear from Mayweather. He talks a cocky game, but he's very afraid of losing that zero. That's the one reason the fight isn't going to happen. He'd be a heavy favorite. He'd probably win. But he doesn't want any part of this guy. I don't see how you could see it any other way. |
