RIP Roddy... one of the most memorable WWE personalities ever! Quote: WWE Hall of Famer Roderick George Toombs, a.k.a. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, passed away at his home in Hollywood, CA at the age of 61, according to TMZ Sports. According to the report, Piper died from cardiac arrest in his sleep on Thursday night. Unbelievable. Another of the great ones from the WWF now gone. I grew up watching Piper's Pit. The guy was the ultimate showman both in and out of the ring. There was no greater villain of Hulk Hogan back in the day. |

I liked him better than the good guys he was going against. He was my first foray into rooting for the villains I will watch RAW Monday for the tribute. He is also technically the first guy to have a win over Goldberg. |
